OK- this one is a bit odd. I want to find a white noise machine. I usually use a fan for noise at night, but they often make creaking or ticking noises which are annoying.

I see that Argos has two "sound machines". One has flashing lights (hardly relaxing!) and I think they both have aroma beads (also not needed) and a multitude of sounds (most of them water- I'd be in the loo all night).

Anyone ever see a plain old white noise machine?

(I tried E-bay too- they only had white noise CDs).
