I know it's a busy time of year, but, if you have a spare moment to say a little prayer for my dear Mother In Law, Beulah, (we call her "Moo"), who was admitted to the hospital 2 days ago with stomach pains. She is 84 years old. My sister in law just called and said that MIL is really doing worse. MIL was up vomiting and with pain in the night and is weak this morning. They did discover a swollen lymph node. They are going to do some more diagnostics today (exploring with scopes etc.)
She is such a sweetie and we love her so. This is bad to deal with anytime, but particularly heart-wrenching at Christmas.
Thank you for any prayers you can spare!
Kathryn

GOOD NEWS!!!
Just got a call from my sister in law and it turned out to be a femoral (or maybe that's spelled femural, like the femur in your leg!) hernia (a sort of hernia in the upper leg) that, believe it or not, a piece of her small intestine had gotten caught in and kinked up in. They did a quick incision in the leg and stopped the obstruction.
She did very well in the surgery and if there are no complications, she will go home tomorrow!
THANK YOU, DANI for your prayers and ALL OF YOU who viewed this post and prayed.
I am so relieved and can't wait to tell my DH when he comes home from delivering packages in his UPS truck(that's why I can't get ahold of him right now) that his Mama is going to be OK!!!

When my DH got home from work, I told him right away. He was so happy. He had been running around delivering packages in the snow all day and worried sick about his mom.
I agree that this truly is a miracle. Another miracle is that Moo tolerated the surgery so well that she will probably come home today!

Thanks everyone!
Lisa, all of this happened so quickly, that I don't think a lot of folks got a chance to see this post.
The quick dx, surgery and swift recovery has truly been a miracle! DH and I talked with Moo on Christmas Day. She was home and sounded so happy and lively. I called her "OUR MIRACLE MOO!" which she loved! She is amazed herself of the swift recovery and so relieved to be out of that pain.
Thanks everyone. It is such a comfort to know that my dear cysters are there...not just for PCOS problems, but supportive to all. Truly you are a wonderful group of people.

Yep, GOD IS GREAT! The doctors were astounded by her strength and swift recovery. Moo is a strong believer, too and attributes all these good results to God!
