DH and I are working on being able to move to Texas in the next few months and I would love to have a recommendation for a doctor going into it. We'll be moving to Pampa, TX which is about an hour northeast of Amarillo if any of you know of any doctors in that area. Thanks in advance!
I used to live in Pampa. I went to Amarillo to the doctor. I loved my doctor. He is a the Texas Tech Women's Health Center. His name is Robert Kaufman. He is very agressive with treatment and likes to do everything himself eg. bloodwork. I really like him when I was there.
I hope ya'll enjoy Pampa. I miss it everyday.
Chandra

Aww hon! Thanks! I'll definitely look up Dr Kaufman when we get there. I heard that most women in Pampa go to Doctors in Amarillo and I thought that might be the case. Pampa is actually DH's home town. We're moving back there for a bit more of a "simple" life and we'll be near his family. Only thing now is to make sure we can both get jobs! lol
I'm just curious. Is he the Dr that DX'ed you? He sounds like a great doctor and if he's really familiar with PCOS, even better! Again, thanks for the recommendation and if you'd like to talk about Pampa, just send me a PM. I've been there a few times with DH since we were married and I really like it from what I've seen.
Dr Kauffman is Awesome. His main area of study and research is PCOS. He will listen and answer all of your questions. The dr that DX'd me was Dr. Moss Hampton he was with the women's health center but is now in a private practice. He refered me to Dr. Kauffman. I just cant say enough about Dr Kauffman. I just LOVE him. He dosent make you feel bad about anything.

It's been a few years since these messages were posted, but I was hopeing that maybe you had since seen the Dr. Kaufman in Amarillo that was recommended? Is he an OB/GYN or an RE?
I currently live in the Dallas area, but am moving to Pampa in 2 weeks and need a doctor in that area!
Thanks,
Amanda

He's an OB/GYN, specializing in fertility. I did go to see him, liked the visit, but since I didn't actually test positive (glucose tolerance test) for IR, he basically said to come back when we wanted fertility treatments and I haven't heard from his office again. I have yet to find a satisfactory dr here...
I have used Dr. Kauffman for over a year now and while I haven't conceived yet, I like him for the most part. He is very knowledgeable about PCOS and willing to answer any questions you might be having. HTH and feel free to contact me if needed. BTW-welcome to the lovely Texas Panhandle-LOL
