my husband recently got a job in edmonton, (we are from ontario), and we will be moving there just before christmas.
so we are now faced with needing to find a new family doctor, and pcos friendly gyn and/or infertility clinic/doctor. i was wondering if any of you in the edmonton/calgary area could recommend anyone for us.
any help will be very much appreciated, thank you!
Hi sitara! Come join us here on the Albertan Cysters thread in TTC Buddies. Here's the link. http://www.soulcysters.net/albertan-...2008-a-264432/ There are a few girls from Edmonton there that can probably help you.

Good Luck with the move.
My dh & I moved from Markham to Calgary a few years ago. There were alot of little things that were taken for granted during our move but we managed to work through all the obsticles.
Unfortunately we didn't stay in Calgary and our now living in B.C.
If you have any question for some one that has done the X-country move, don't hesitate to contact me.

I'm also in Edmonton. If you need anything.. please private message me as well. I have tried acupuncture.. (I have a great acupuncturist), homeopathy (I have an excellent reference), as well as a very knowledgeable OBgyn, as well as a fantastic GP. I would be happy to refer you to any of them.
We moved from the GTA (Richmond Hill) to Sherwood Park (like Mississauga to TO) just less than 2 years ago. I actually found it easier to get a family Dr here than RH (check out Capital Health online); however, it took 8 months to get an appnt with the fertility clinic (note THE, there is only one).
I found my family Dr helpful but not particularly knowledgable and unwilling to do anything but refer to the clinic because we were TTC.
My suggestion would be to just get on top of getting a Dr and perhaps try to push for a ob/gyn. If you are TTC, get your name on that clinic wait list!
Hope the move went well and that you are getting settled!
