Unhappy mri, gallbadder, bipolar, add, adhd long......

bear with me i will try to ask my question and hopefully it will make sense..

last month i was sick and ended up getting my gallbladder out-there were complications and ended up in the hospital for a week, they had to go back in and put in a shunt or something like that to stop the drainage or something...i was not really coherent when i was in the hospital...thank god my mom was there.
-i still haven't gotten my appetite back and get sick when i try to eat, but that is not my question.

one of the reasons i was not really coherent when i was in the hospital is because on top of the gut hurting, i have been having problems with what has basically been dx as bipolar and severe add/or adhd. i had been begging my dr at that time for something for the moodswings and she wouldn't give me anything. when i called from the hosp she said as soon as we get your dosage right you will be fine....i found another dr that day and at least i feel like he is trying.....

that said, in addition to some of the other symptoms, attention problems, (rambling), mood swings, not being able to really function, fleeting thoughts, rage, crying,ect.....i am now 'hearing voices', it could also be because i have been getting about an hour and a half or 2 of sleep a night, but it is also a symptom of a brain tumor. dr is 99 percent sure it isn't, BUT it is better to check it out.

finally.....the question. has anyone had the shunt or stint put in?? i am having an mri this afternoon of my head and she asked on the phone if i have any metal---and i thought of that.
the girl from the radialogist is going to call and find out and call me back......that was just kind of the last straw....and now i have started crying and worring.....

*i have been living on this site the last couple of days and i want to find out if some of this could be my thyroid--i know the numbers changed when i was on lithium, but i don't know if they are bad or what....it seems as though some of the symptoms could be there and it has all gotten worse since i was on the lithium...who would i call about those numbers-what would be normal?? i am not really sure where to look.....

i hope this makes at least a little bit of sense, and thanks if you made it through this message.....

I am very sorry (((((hugs)))))

I really think you need to sit down with a good doc and get all your meds sorted out! It could be the reason for the mania feelings you are describing.

Please keep us updated o.k.!

Default better :)

well i needed to cry and i did for a while....i do feel better.
i have called my obgyn office and i am waiting to hear back, it would be interesting if some of this is from my thyroid....makes me wonder.

i went to ww and i lost another 5 lbs and then on my way home i checked my mail and my shirt and postcards were waiting there for me.

then i found out that the lady aggies (texas a&m) won last nite in the final seconds--they are in the nit, and the boys won the other nite...

waiting to hear back from radiolgist to find out if this thing frm surgery is metal or not....

thanks ms pink for the reply and thanks for letting me vent...
