NOMADIC:Mashallah thats great news and it definitely looks like a BFP...!!
Inshallah it will be...loads of prayers....I can understand your fears too,but just leave it all to Allah swt who is the best of all planners...IA all will be well..*hugz*
I wonder whats taking them so long to call u with the results....whenever I have been in for blood work I always get the call from the nurse in the late afternoon, weekdays or weekend...
anyway hang in there and inshallah you will get the good news...!!
I am from 'M' block...heheheh...small world isn't it...???...!
Nomadic: so so happy for you Insha Allah pray it is positive. When i discovered this board and i read your posts i really wanted good news to come your way. Insha Allah you will be pregnant.
Sarahs Mom: i have had a scan and blood tests. I am in UK so not sure whether they do things different, next month i have appointment with consultant she will then put me on medications Insha Allah. I spoke to a gynacologist who is a family friend and she said that they would probably put me on metformin.
Noor-Masha Allah you did really well to loose 10lbs.. My doctor said that i am not overweight but i have noticesd a change in my weight since i have got married which after 11 months i found out i had pcos.
Everybody else Jazakallah Khair for your warm welcomes.
Just brief about me: I am 25, been married since Aug 07, home maker, And my Parents are also from Lahore lol.
i found out about PCOs July 08 and didnt really know what to do so i decided to have accupuncture and chinese treatment for 6 months which didnt really do much for me.Alhamdulillah
Sara- I'm not sure what those herbs are but I'm sure if you can't find them in regular stores, go to Arabic/Muslim stores. Most of them include Arabic herbs and Pakistani ones. Or else call someone from back home and make them bring them for you!! Inshallah it'll help. Have you tried women's rogaine? There's a generic brand that works just as well and you can just buy it at Wal-Mart. Perhaps that might help too.
Meggy- I'm so very sorry for what you are going through. I don't know what you are going through but if there is anything you need or just to vent, I'm a PM away!
Noor- First, I'm sooo proud that you lost 10 pounds! I know how you feel the first month you get a normal period that comes on time and at a normal flow. Inshallah you keep losing weight and keep your periods regulated. You are an inspiration to all of us who need to lose weight. About your mom, don't feel bad. Many women from the Muslim world feel that beauty rests only on your looks. I used to get teased at the clothing stores in Lebanon when I visited my husband's family because..well..I'm curvy. Even when I'm not fat, I have curves. All those women there were like sticks. I just told people I don't come for a third world country and therefore we're not starving, so that's why I look so good. LOL Sometimes I can be so mean. Oh well! First and foremost, if you are happy with yourself then that's perfect. No two people look the same. Sometimes you can weigh 150 and look soo fat and another person can weigh 150 and look amazing. As long as you are happy with you, who cares? Besides, I don't like to wear other people's clothes anyways so this way your friend can keep her used clothes and you can go out and buy new ones!
Faithandhope- I'm sorry for the false positive, but think about it another way. Even those with no fertility issues can go 8-12 months before getting pregnant and its still considered normal. Just keep thinking positive and try to cut out stresses (I know its hard) and inshallah next month will be your month!.
Wantababy- I'm sorry you didn't get much response from others before, but inshallah you'll be more than a lurker on here. I think your paragraph on having to deal with mean people hit the nail right on the head. People make it seem like its our fault or that we want have PCOS.
rusalka- Thanks for the reminder, I started a new one and I'll post the link in the next post.
Nomadic- The first thing is, what happened today at the doctor? How was your anniversary? Do anything special? I promise if I hit that area of the world, I'll let you know and pick you up a couple of the jilbabs. I bought a few for myself, but I only wear them to the masjid. Other than that, I just wear regular long clothes. My husband and I met at the university. I was going to uni in Iowa (where my whole family is) and DH lived in the UK but was coming to our uni for a lecture (he's older than me by almost 10 years). I was president of the Arab Student Association and since he was coming as a guest of the uni, they contacted our association to see if anyone would show him around. My whole group didn't want to do it so since I was president I was 'stuck' doing it. After he left we kept contact with email but it was just really professional, until I broke up with my fiancee at the time (long story!) and then I needed someone who wasn't also friends with my fiancee to vent to and his email was still in my inbox. LOL He came again for another lecture and met my parents and things just happened after that.
As for me---I came home this afternoon from Iowa. DH was so sweet. The morning we left, I was in such a hurry, my favorite cake dish fell on the floor and shattered. I was upset but I had to rush to the airport. I came home today and DH bought another one and put it in its place. Totally sweet guy. I miss my parents but I was happy to come back to my house. Sarah was great on the plane until it was time to get off and then she got upset because she didn't want to leave. So I guess crying when we landed for a few min (until she saw her dad) is better than crying on the flight.
crunfil- I would think that the blood work is the same everywhere. Since your gyno is a family friend that might work well because she will likely take better care of you. But you have to remember to put your embarassement aside and ask questions even if she is a family friend. Your health is most important.
I am 25, almost turning 26 and STRUGGLING to lose weight and just trying to get rid of other symptoms. I found out about PCOS years ago but got treatment off and on because I went to a doc and she told me that I dont have PCOS while another said I do. So then I started back on it and I know somethings up wtih my body because it is very difficult for me to lose weight
Anyways I am from michigan, any cysters from mi?
I was really happy when i found this thread because sometimes it helps to know you are not the only one out there.
