hello everyone.
Just marking my spot in the new thread...heheh
I wish you all a very happy and blessed month of Ramadan.Ameen.
It starts on Saturday here too...
Thank you so much ... I was feeling a little lonely about PCOS, but I guess you all know what its like.
Wantababy - I have started reading.. right here on the website. Hubby read a bit too .... and we know slightly more now about PCOS
Bundle of Joy - Thank you sis, I used to be like you when I was very young. Now I am pretty much regular and think I ovulate too. So yes there is hope
Crunfil - Thank you too. Yeah there is always a concern with herbal medicines.
Sarahs Mom - Yep shoulder to cry on. I feel better already
Rosalka - Yes my PhD is amazing. I am a convert and have always been a bit extra passionate about our Deen. My Phd is about giving voice to Muslim women, in a way that contextualises our religious values. And hence initiate more balanced understandings of Muslim women.
And yes will try to understand wht basal body temperature charting entails.
THANK YOU ALL for making me feel better and less confused
Wantababy, thanks for asking, I'm doing ok alhamdulillah. Looking forward to Ramadan.
Sarahsmom, it's great that your sister came with you. Mine is staying at my place too now, she helped with the move, she is only 18 but she is like my best friend! She will be starting university in september, becoming a nutrition specialist and dietitian and will be staying with us until she settles her things. Good luck with your decision on having another child right now, inshaAllah all the best. I think it's wonderful to have siblings, so maybe you'll be taking some time off of Sarah and paying attention to the newborn but you'll be giving Sarah a sister(s) and/or brother(s). Besides, Allah will give you the strength and patience to take care of them both inshaAllah. Even if it seems impossible now, you'll see how things change and your time will have "barakat" once you have another kid.
Crunfil, yaaaay for the ovulation! Yes, bloodtests of progesterone levels are very accurate unless you're on progesterone supplements on confirming ovulation. InshaAllah this is the month for you. Thank God, the lump on your foot is nothing dangerous. Tell us when the surgery will be and I'll be praying for you. Good luck with it.
Tyra, Diamonintherough, Chips and all other sisters, hello and ramadan kareem.

Sister Nomadic-How are you doing?Must be wonderful to have your mother around.
Hope everyone is blessed this Ramadan with whatever their heart's desire-Ameen!
Had written a longish post which didnt go thru (it always gets lost, doesnt it!!)........so Insha'Allah will try to write smaller posts in pieces.
We are now eagerly waiting for the baby to make an appearance anytime Insha'Allah.
Remember us in your prayers!!
IMG2005- Oh don't worry. You have a baby on the way and if I were you, that would take up all my attention. Hamdillah, Sarah is doing quite well. She has been moving her left arm much more on her own (her stroke affected that arm so she wasn't moving it very well before) and her balance has gotten better. Her physical therapists have noticed that change in her and we are all excited to see where this will lead. As for Sarah's cousin, Reem, she's also gotten better use of her legs and something amazing, her eyes aren't crossed. She had horribly crossed eyes and had surgery on them a few times with no success. Within a few days after the procedure, her eyes got much better and now, her dad says you can barely notice any type of crossing. Hamdillah. It sounds like small things, but to the parent these are miracles. Sarah will start intensive physical therapy at the end of October. Its like a boot camp PT with three hours a day, five days a week for three weeks. She's going to really hate me at the end of that but I've read a lot of good reviews on this. Inshallah you deliever a healthy baby without too much pain. Please have someone post if you cannot to let us know that both mom and baby are ok!
AFM: Wow...I was hit pretty hard with fasting yesterday. I had this huge headache right after Iftar that I actually passed out around 9pm. I just went to lay down and all of a sudden the clock says 4:30am. Thank God for DH who ended up taking care of Sarah and it looks like he cleaned up. I hope I don't pull this on him tonight because he has work in the morning. I've never had such a horrible headache.

Assallamoalykum and ramazan mubarak to all my sisters.
hope every1 is well and enjoying the first few days of ramazan. We here in England started fasting on saturday like alot of the other sisters across the world. We here close our fasts at about 3:20 inthe morning and do iftari at about 8:20ish. This means that they are about 18 hours long. These rozas are hard and are only just going to get harder and longer as the years go on. but inshallah Allah will reward us all for our patience, if not in this world then in the hereafter. AMEEN.

@ngel, normally how long is your luteal phase, the time that follows ovulation until your next period, that is? Its length is usually consistent from one cycle to another. It might differ from one woman to another but most of the time it doesn't change from cycle to cycle. So, if yours is the average 14 days, you might very well be pregnant! Keep us updated! InshaAllah this is it for you!

salams rasulka -- my lutheal phase on average is about 17 days. but this month between ovulation and the time of my period (if i came on) is about 14 days, but i did ovulate later then usual. so i do vary quite abit. i dont actually feel any different other then theres a feeling inside me that tells me that i am. however i do no that its too early to start having any physical changes. my cycle recentley is quite consistant, but then again i am only 2 days overdue.

@ngel- Inshallah what ever is good for you and your family will happen. But sister..take a pregnancy test. All the sisters here on the board constantly montior their LP and temps and all that craziness. Just take a pregnancy test!! Plus from what I know is that periods come 14 days after ovulation. Since you know when you ovulated, recalculate when your period should have arrived. If its still late...GET A PREGNANCY TEST! LOL!
