Don't worry if it is lighter, it could be the amount of liquid you drank before (even if it was the night before), the test itself or many other factors. As long as the line is there, it is positive! Most instruction papers inside the test box will affirm that for ya
Mabrook again and of course you are in my du'aas hun!

It will show you a list of names which you can pick from... Remember, you MUST seek a female doctor, as a MUSLIM woman, except in case of emergency. I know many women who have MALE OB/GYN doctor's and they think this is HALAL! It is not--- so barikallah feeki that you are seeking a FEMALE to follow what is halal. MIRIA- Stay calm ukhti, everything is in ALLAH subhanna wa ta'alas hands... May allah (shwt) give you everything you wish for, and may he give us all the same. AMEEN!!! AISHAH- Nice to hear from your sister... It has been a while since you were online, and I was hoping that everything was good. Inshallah you'll keep us posted on how you are, every once in a while, so we don't worry

My Mood: Points: 4,755.28 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,755.28 | Salam sisters, Tasneem- I am finding motherhood very heartwarming, mashallah. I know that YUSEF was a bit difficult the first 5 weeks, since he was sleeping in small spurts and I was running on overload with the exhaustion. I had my MOM visit me occasionally, for a few days at a time, but she didn't stay the entire 40 days after birth (as is traditional in an ARABIAN/CIRCASSION home). I know what to be ready for, "IF" Allah (shwt) bestows another blessing on us. I think a lot of my stress came from lack-of-sleep, not to mention living in such a SMALL and CRAMPED home, and having absolutely no storage. When my Mother came over to visit, there was nowhere for her to sleep, except on a TWIN size air bed, and even that took up half the family room! I look forward to moving out of this place, in a few months (inshallah) and getting a 2 bedroom home, but with a lot more square footage. We are now living in an apartment that is LESS THAN 400 SQUARE FEET! It is super small, and a good size bedroom could eat up our entire apartment!!! SO, that's how small it is... Subhan allah, we didn't know about baby when we rented here, but now that he's here--- we are struggling with the lack of room! I'm trying to pace myself and realize that I can't really get anything done until he's sleeping. I often can't even eat a warm meal due to him crying and being clingy at this stage. But, inshallah today after my DH returns from work, we will be a swing for YUSEF. That way, I can put him down to cook, clean, do laundry, eat, etc. Because as of right now, our home is a SHAMBLES! But, it's all worth it and I will take the good with the bad anyday. Alhamdulilah for all his blessings... I pray that the rest of you experience the JOYS of Motherhood, and don't forget that you'll need lots of help for the first few weeks. If not for anything, just to get a brake to catch up on sleep!!! AMEEN!!!!!

My Mood: Points: 4,755.28 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,755.28 | Salam sisters, Went to get a swing--- they were running low on their supply. So, I suppose we'll shop around for the best one, and then inshallah, we'll purchase one that's reasonable. Yusef has been extra fussy the last couple of days, he's been getting sick, I think... He had really stinky poops and it was yellowish in color. If he has yellowish-sticky poo tonight, inshallah I'll call his PED and take him in. I hope he gets better on his own, and won't need to be medicated for it. The less drugs in his system, the better. Hope things are alright with all of you, inshallah ala khair...

My Mood: Points: 4,755.28 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,755.28 | Salam sisters, So, today I took YUSEF to the PED for his first shots. - First thing he did was PEE on me and the nurse (when they asked me to undress him for weighing).
 - Second thing he did was vomit on me and my shirt. Went all over my armpit and down my arm.
 - Third, she gave him liquid tylenol so he'd be comfortable for the shots and after, as well.
- Soon the Dr came in, she did the usual stuff (physical, measuring, weighing, etc.). We talked for a little while, and then she left.
- Then it was time for the shots, and the nurse told me to hold his hands, so he wouldn't jerk the needle away. I held his hands, and gazed into his eyes, all the while the nurse was getting the needle prepared (I felt like I betrayed him, but I was really trying to get his attention away from what was about to happen).
- Next thing you know, "BOOM" she gave him one needle in each thigh, and he started to wail! He cried so hard that he stopped crying! You know, the cry that freaks you out!? Yah? That one...
He was tired before we went, so right after the shots and getting him dressed again, I put him in his stroller and he passed out. He's asleep now and I hope that he has his mid-day nap and then doesn't show any signs of fussyness or a raised temperature. I have to go back another day, because they ran out of another shot, which sucks. But, oh well- what needs to be done, needs to be done! He's exactly 2 months old today, and here are his stats (PRAISE GOD):- Height: 24.5 inches
- Weight: 14# 3.5 oz
- Head: 40.5 cm

My Mood: Points: 6,206.54 Bank: 883.17 Total Points: 7,089.71 | As'salam O alikum (Cy)sisters,
I have a question for you all.
I went out for tea with my second cousin today and she told me a long story about someone in our family (closer to her family than mine) who goes to a lot of weird people and gets "magic" done on people. Now, this cousin of mine has two kids.
She said when she was trying to conceive her second child, someone told her that that other lady (the voodoo one) has done something and my cousin wouldn't be able to have another child. My cousin went to see a doctor who diagnosed her with... no score for guessing... polycystic ovaries. My cousin was about to start clomid but before that, she went to some guy "qualified" to deal with such things and conceived the next month without clomid.
Then, my cousin said her younger sister was told before she was even TTCing that the voodoo woman has arranged with some people of her sorts (I don't know what name to give it!) and she won't be able to have a child either. So, this girl went to a doctor, who diagnosed her with ... PCOS, of course... and she went to the same "qualified" guy and he read some prayers for her, and BAM, she conceived the next month too, without any medical intervention.
Before we parted, my cousin said this particular woman may be trying to harm my (Nomadic's) part of the family because she's getting her son married to my first cousin and that will give her easy access to us and blah blah blah...
---
Now, the only conclusion I derived from all of this is:
- There's a dormant PCOS genes in my family. Not all of them have severe ovulatory issues like me, but it's there.
Personally, I believe this world and life has more than one dimensions. There are Jinns as mentioned in the Quran, that may/may not coexist with us - some can cause us harm, but not without Allah's knowledge, and some are harmless.
Alhamdulillah, DH and I pray five times a day, I practice the hijab, I recite Surah Ikhlaas, Naas and Falaq before sleeping, we try to read the Quran everyday, we try to read a couple of Hadis everyday.
I know nothing we do can surpass what Rasool-ul-Allah used to do and yet some 'magic' had been done on him.
... So basically, right now, I am really confused. I am a firm believer that Allah SWT tries us, with or w/o offspring, wealth, spouses, health. I don't want to translate all these tests into oh-my-God-someone-has-done-magic-on-me.
I had a discussion with DH about it and he was just quiet. He's Alhamdulillah very well-versed in Islamic knowledge but I think he doesn't know much about this stuff. Magic and this stuff is supposedly very common (or allegedly common) in my part of the world.
Any insight or authentic information you may have on this will help me inshAllah.
JazakAllah khair for reading all of this.

My Mood: Points: 4,755.28 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 4,755.28 | Salam sisters, My piece of advice is that this "MAN" didn't do anything for anybody. They may have gotten pregnant as a coincidence, and so I do not believe the two are correlated. I do, however know that EIN and HASAD (evil eye/envy) is quite prevalent when a person is ENVIOUS of something someone else has, and doesn't wholeheartedly say "MASHALLAH (praise GOD)" when they are thinking or speaking about this. But, I also know the prayers to protect us, as follows: - Say AYAT IL KURSI (1x)
- Say AL MUHAWATHAT which consists of:
- Kul-huwa-lahu ahaad (3x)
- Kul-authu-be-rub-inas (3x)
- Kul-authu-be-rub-al-falak (3x)
3. Then Say: - Autho be kalimat illahi-tamaat-min culli-shaytanin wa hamma, wa ein il lamma (3x)
- Autho be kalimat illahi- tammat, min sharri ma khalak (3x)
All these prayers are meant to protect us from evil eye and bad hexes (as some call it), when said once in the morning and once in the evening, then blowing into your hands, and passing your hands over your body. Plus, when one says it they need to actually believe it, or it is of no use. QURAN IS OUR PROTECTION, OUR BELOVED DECREE FROM GOD, and WHAT MAKES US MOST HONORABLE... And of coarse ALLAH (shwt) knows all things! ***Inshallah I will confer with my M-I-L who mashallah, has a degree in Shariaa' (islamic laws), and get back to you with any further advice.*** Salam
