mamawantmore i'm still waiting for Friday to come impatiently!!! i can't wait for my ultrasound! a part of me is telling me to go back to hospital and push for an other us ahead of time, but that's been said what if the result is still the same, i'll stress more!

Salam Ladies,

Everything is mashee (fine) over here, alhamdulilah. DHs been calling around for estimates to see how much they'll charge to fix my car. Inshallah he'll take it in next week, they couldn't do it this "HOLIDAY" weekend.

Yusef is fine, alhamdulilah wa mashallah---- he likes his swing very much. He got a little bit constipated from the change of formula/BF mix, but I think it's slowly resolving itself. He was very fussy last night, because we were out for a few hours yesterday, and so It was hard to get him to fall asleep. He eventually passed out and slept for hours, since he was so overly tired...

Nothing NEW here, so I'll keep you all in my duhaa inshallah- keep the faith.

.. I have had PCOS since I remember and the symptoms overwhelmed me and I am too scared but alhamdu lilah for everything

..

Please sisters PM me and advice me on how to deal with this condition..

Welcome ASIAN_STAR!

Where are you from sister? Congradulations (MUBROOK) on your upcoming wedding. I hope you will have a happy life with your chosen spouse.

My advice would be to:

go to an OB/GYN (female doctor) and get a complete blood workup and see how your sugars are doing. THey will most likely want to put you on METFORMIN/GLUCOPHAGE to combat INSULIN REISTANCE
they may possibly want to put you on BIRTH CONTROL, which I DO NOT recommend. I recommend them putting you on PROVERA or some such medication to get your period to start every month, if it is not already regular.
I also advise you to look up PCOS on the net and read everything you possibly can about it, so you can made educated decisions about your illness.

ONLY ALLAH (shwt) can HEAL us all, don't believe what the doctors tell you about POSSIBLE bad things that can happen, just follow your heart, pray about it often, learn more about the illness, and listen to your body. I think you will benefit a lot from this site, and inshallah we will discuss things on this forum that will help us all.

I am a pre-reg pharmacist in UK, I had all the blood tests done, my hormones are imbalanced, high testosterone, LH and low FSH..

The Dr told me to stay as my weight 60kg and 160cm.

Thank you for the Advice sister, I have put my faith in Allah,,, As Allah mentions in quran that there is a cure in honey, so I try to eat a lot of honey especially with black seeds..

I believe that nothing will happen to us if Allah didn't want it to happen and vice versa.. but this condition, kinda made not feel I am beautiful, but alhamdu liLah for everything, I admit to all His blessings

Most of us have felt "UNPRETTY" at one time or another--- its the lack of femininity that some of us feel. A good suggestion is to go and get your hair cut and colored, buy yourself something nice and give yourself some "YOU" time. DO whatever you wish to do, and get some time to unwind.

Ofcoarse that's hard to do as a parent, and without any family around. SO, I've kind of let myself go. I haven't cut or colored my hair in a while, and I have regular pajamas that I wear around the house. I supposed once funds are better, I would like to purchase some fancy pajamas that make me look better, in the home. I also very rarely wear makeup (at home) anymore, but when I do, I feel better. So, it's just a matter of doing things that make you feel better.

YOU could also ask someone to bring you ZAM ZAM water from MECCA, and drink it. Inshallah it will heal whoever drinks it. There are also prayers to read over water, that you can drink from and it will inshallah make your ailments easier (i;m sure you can research them online), You can also eat some cinnamon in many different things to regulate your sugars.

Just some suggestions...

Usalamu Alaikum,

Can anyone please go back to the posting that Danna made on the 18 of May, who can read arabic. I only need the instruction, not the translations of every exact word, I can read the numbers in english so i'm assuming the aiyaa's before the numbers mean, read it "X" number of times. but i cannot read the instructions. if some can email them to me at salma_jz@yahoo.com or you can post it here. I know Danna is extermly busy with little Yousef , she did a big favour by putting this up for me in the first place.
.....I am watching martha stewart..and she is making some yummy cookies....i think i'm gonna make some too.... you can all come over

Salam sisters,

Unfortunately the ARABIC reading/writing I was taught as a child has faded, and I'm back at square 1 trying to read it again, letter by letter. It's difficult for me to translate it so I posted it in the hopes that some of you could please read it and translate to the NON-ARABIC reader (since I cannot do it myself).

I've had the goal of RE-LEARNING Arabic for a while, but things in life seem to pop up and it just gets pushed further down the road.

Inshallah you'll all benefit from the rukya and things will go well in all of our lives.

I was wondering if any of you are willing to list your goals, hopes and dreams, so we can see what we have in common as well as praying for the other sisters, with their specific prayers in mind.

I guess I'll be the bold one listing my hopes and dreams and goals, first. YA ALLAH GRANT ME/US:

ease in learning to read/write Arabic again
for DH & Myself to lose all excess weight and become healthy
for DH & myself to have better finances so we are able to save and eventually visit or leave the USA (for good)
for little YUSEF to grow up healthy, happy, and safe in Allahs (shwt) guidance
to go back to school and eventually become an ENGLISH college professor
To move closer to my in-laws so YUSEF can grow up near family, and his cousin
TO attend Umra & Hajj during my lifetime
To enjoy every minute of life, instead of the days passing quickly, not knowing how they went so fast
To have many healthy children, and just be content
