Hi sisters! I thought our last thread was getting a bit long (16 pages!) so this is the new thread. I will link it in the older thread.

SARAHSMOM- You are so right. Everything stresses me out and I've been so stress that It hurts at times. The last two doses of Clomid made me a differnt person and I was a mess. Crying for hours stright. My doctor is going to start a new medicine on me. But for now, I'm on provera to induce a period and then go from there.

BTW, Is there a way to find out what the abbreviations mean? What does DH stand for and M/C...It gets confusing sometimes. : 0 )

Wantababy: JazakAllah khair, sister. I guess I was so shocked, I believed for a while that I may have ovulated or even conceived before Femara, but I think that's not possible. Basically, I've given up on trying to pin point when these things happened. Allah SWT knows the science of everything better than us... Sister, I seriously think if I can get pregnant, ANYONE can, inshAllah.

Chips: I'm from B block, or was. I liked Model Town but I'm really enjoying being here. JazakAllahkhair sister, for your words. Please pray this is a viable pregnancy and I have a saleh child, inshAllah.

Crunfil: JazakAllah khair! Oh boy, another Lahori on the board... just when I thought I've run away from Lahore. Hah. Sister, how were you diagnosed with PCOS? What were your symptoms and whoever diagnosed you, what's their plan of action? I'm asking all these questions so we know where you are and can help you get more information on PCOS inshAllah.

Faithandhope: InshAllah I'll stick around. Please pray everything goes smoothly for me...! How are you doing? Clomid wrecked havoc with my emotions too. I just don't want to think about that time anymore. About the abbreviations, this will be your lexicon for life on SC. And eventually, if you stick out here longer, you'll get so used to these terms, you'll actually start thinking of your husband as a DH and your periods as AF. I actually told the nurse one day, "I've using OPKs" and she was just quiet so I added... "umm, ovulation predicting kit... ahem..."

Sarahsmom: JazakAllah for the new thread sister. I was going to start one but then I decided to wait for you to do our laundry I normally wear my jilbabs to the masjid too and make use of coats/long sweaters in winters and a long cotton jacket in summers. But I guess I'll need to find something for summers... Texas is no better than Pakistan when it comes to Summers apparently.

I LOVE your how-I-got-married-story!!! Who could've thought, right! See the reason I asked was because I thought hmm, Syria and Palestine - sure they've got a common border (they do, right?) but how does a wedding fit into this especially if you say your DH is more like me (FOB!). So that's an awesome story! I can't wait for Sarah to grow up and hear the tale... Happy home coming! I know man, it's important to get away from DHs once in a while... makes them miss us and cherish us more.

Meggy: Allah SWT knows I prayed for you last night sister. I couldn't remember your nickname on SC but I just imagined your display picture and prayed Allah SWT makes everything easy for you and grants you a child very soon, Ameen. *hugs* My younger sister had a miscarriage recently but she was so happy when I gave her the news of my BFP... InshAllah ... all will be well, for everyone.

As for me, my anniversary went great Alhamdulillah. We had purchased tickets for Six Flags weeks in advance... so we did go but only on the ferris wheel and light water rides, no roller coasters. Later inshAllah, right?

I finally got to talk to a nurse today, after calling three times today - I just don't like the system here. Everytime I call, I have to talk to a new person and give them my entire history and THEY order the tests, not the doctor. I asked the previous nurse to please include progesterone and thyroid test when getting my beta. I mean why do I have to tell them that? Shouldn't they know this already? And then, she didn't tick the progesterone so I don't know how I'm doing there...

Anyway, the nurse I spoke to told me my beta from Thursday is 119 - and they'll repeat it 2moro inshAllah. Sisters please pray everything goes okay. Except for peeing and twinges in my lower abdomen, I have no symptoms! And she also told me my thyroid levels are a "bit off". DH says we're just going to force them to give us an appointment with the doctor 2moro inshAllah. Lets see-

Salams

Nomadic: BAsically after getting married my periods went loopy i had almost regular periods before getting married well they were not irregular enough for me to notice. After getting married (Aug 07) i got period after 7 weeks then the gaps got longer 2 months 3 months- longest for me has been 4 months. After visiting the doctors they kept saying to me it was ok just change of hormones, stress etc. I was telling them i have absolutely nothing to be stressed about i am very happy Masha Allah. So then finally one doctor sent me for blood tests and they all came back ok so they sent me for a scan in July 08. My main symptom was irregular period and i gained a little weight i just thought that was happy weight after getting married lol. After being diagnosed they did pretty much nothing as they were awaiting result from my husband...so i decided to have chinese herbal treatment and accupncture for 6 months which did not do much except give me bleeding that lasted 2 weeks which didnt feel like a period but like a flow of water. After this i thought its noth working my periods were still not regular so i thought forget this,...Finally we got referred and the appointment is next month. I think things take so long here but ALhamdulillah.

Sarahs Mom: The gyn i am seeing is not actually the family friend she is just there for advice as she is in a different city but she said i can ring and come see her when i am in Manchester which is where she is and where my parents are who found her for me. Bless them.

FAith and Hope: Dont think about what accupuncture would have done if you carried on longer i kept thinking that but we just have to think Allah has a plan for us all and the reason we have been directed to a different route is by Allahs will Insha Allah. How long did you have accupuncture for? Did you feel any change?

Meggy: MAy Allah make it easy for you Insh Allah

I am 25, almost turning 26 and STRUGGLING to lose weight and just trying to get rid of other symptoms. I found out about PCOS years ago but got treatment off and on because I went to a doc and she told me that I dont have PCOS while another said I do. So then I started back on it and I know somethings up wtih my body because it is very difficult for me to lose weight

Anyways I am from michigan, any cysters from mi?

I was really happy when i found this thread because sometimes it helps to know you are not the only one out there.

Salam sisters- I will post to everyone personally later today, inshallah, but I wanted to ask for duaa from all of you today. The neurologist should be looking at Sarah's MRI today and letting us know if Sarah will be able to go to Germany for treatment or not. I'm asking you to not make duaa that she goes but to make duaa that whatever is the best for Sarah happens. Inshallah I'll post here as soon as I find out.

SarahsMom- Inshallah everything will go well with Sarah

Nomadic- Inshallah your betas and next appointments will be great.

I'm a little upset today. Thisis my 2nd Clomid cycle. Last month only on 50mg, I ovulated, and on CD10 had a dominant follicle that was 15mm

This month, same dosage, however today was cycle dat 10 and I have three follicles, 2@8 and one @7. Last month on CD my follicle was double the size. Is this cycle a bust? Sisters, please please pray for me. We have limited fertility coverage so I don't know how much more we can take. I ask all of you to please make dua for me and everyone else here.

Jazakallah

Wantababy786 - I was just wondering. Did they lower your dosage on Clomid? I thought they just keep going higher and higher. I'm changing from Clomid to something else. Will find out next week. We are all praying for you so hang in there and be strong. It's only a matter of time now!

ZonBonBon- Welcome!! Some of us here are also new to this board to so It's exciting. Just from my own experience I have been told on and off that I have PCOS but now I know for sure that I do. Its just really hard to detect sometimes. But the facial hair and the weight gain, pimples...Thank god I don't have anything severe but Its there. You are deff not alone in TTC. Have you spoken to your doctor about what your options are regarding Fertility?

Crunfil- To be very honest with you. Before, going into accupunture I was losing so much hair that It was evident that I was thinning my hair line. But in that sense Accupunture has worked miracles. Cause now I have healthy hair and I was only going for three months. Oh and it also must have help with PCOS cause I started noticing less faicial hair grown. The only reason I stopped going was bc my doctor asked me to go on Provera and I can't even remember the last time I got my period so she wanted to induce one. Well when I got my period I bled so much that I was put on bed rest. It was really bad, they were not even able to draw blood from my arms. But now its my 3rd cycle and the periods are getting better...On Provera offcourse. I don't know if I will have a period on my own.

Nomadic- I'm doing great and thank you so much for the Abbreviations. It really helps. I never imagined how strong Clomid could be but It was so bad that I would start crying at 8am and would not stop thill 2-3pm. Everything pissed me off and my poor DDH was taking it all in. What did they change you to? Was it fermera?

A little about me. I've been married for 3 years and we found out I have PCOS 1 month before getting married. Just by chance he was visiting me and I asked him to come to the doctors appt. When the doctor told us that girls with pcos "tipically can't have kids" I thought that would be the end of our relationship. Cause he loves kids. But, MasAllah he told me then that he married me for me and kept his promise. My very Darling hubby is very supportive and one in a million. Inlaws are just as nice. They ask once in a while but don't really impose. I'm Paki but too American for them. So the nagging part is when all our friends and stangers ask when we are giving them the good news. That just annoys me at time. But this is life. I think I'm starting to understand this phase Allah has put me in a little better each day. I'm starting to become more patient and praying more often. So many other great things have come out of this challange.

The best of luck to all of you guys. I'm so excited that we can go through this together. I know no one will understand my struggles better then you ladies!!

I am going to be praying for each and everyone of us tonight. (Because I'm off from school tomorrow) J/K : 0 ) ~

*Forgive me for all my typos*

Salams,

To all sisters. I am new here. I was recomemded here by a dear friend. I also have PCOS and was diagnosed not so long ago. Since ive been diagnosed Ive been for many tests and scans. I have jus finished my 2nd cycle of clomid @ 100mg and progesterone capsules. I have been reading the many comments and advice posted on the site and feel really good that we can help each other out in these difficult times.

I also dont know whats wrong with me lately, I use to be a very happy and bubbly person. Just a couple of days ago a close relative gave birth to a beautiful healthy baby boy. seeing them together just bought soo much emotion, hurt and jealousy inside. It just reminded me of everything i dont have.... Later that day my DH rang, and we talked about everything that was upsetting me, and he made me realise that I should be thankful to Allah for everything that I have in my life.

Allah SWT has created a cure for every illness. the medicine will only work as long as it is Allahs will. If it is not Allah's will that a person should get better, then no medicine in the world will heal that person. Therefore never think that it is the medicine that has cured the person. It is Allah who cures the sick. If Allah wills that a patient be cured, then He will comand the medicine to work. If need be Allah can even command dust to act as a medicinal cure. At the same time Allah can command the most expensive and best medicine not to work.

Whatever Allah does, it is for our benefit, Whenever we are ill our sins decrease. when we are patient our status in the hereafter increases and disasters are averted from us. In patience we become humble. In health and fitness we are heedless and reckless. In sickness we realise our mistakes and count our blessings.

For muslims, an illness is a great blessing and reward from Allah. But in this illness there is also a great trail for us. We should be thankful to allah in all conditions. We should be patient and happy with whatever Allah has written for us. We should never become disheartened and utter anything which we may later regret.

Therefore I urge us all to make a little effort and strengthen our heart and mind and resign to the fact that if this is what pleases Allah we are willing to sacrifice our lives. If we show patience and do not utter any unlawful words and then die in this condition, imagine the reward that Allah will bestow on his servants who sacrifices their life relying on him. If on the other hand we get better and regain our health and fitness, we also gain an immense reward and status from Allah. We have maintained our faith and gained in this world and the hereafter.

Prayers is a timely prescription for beleivers. Therefore perform five times daily, its a complete physical and mental exercise. Rely on Allah, and ask him to give you strength. May Allah give us all that is good for us, make it easy for us to obtain it and keep us on the straight path when we do. It says in the Quraan that children are one of the blessings, bestowed on a good marraige. May Allah bless all our lives with this blessing. May Allah grant us pateince, may HE protect, forgive and have mercy on us all, and grant us all jannatul firdoz...AMEEN.
