salam alaikum ladies,
it has been ages since i posted here, so let me give an update and intro to any new muslim cysters.
alhamdillah allah swt has blessed me with 2 children, Aqsa is 5 years old and Adil is 20 months old. they keep me busy thats for sure, i think we are done, as it is so expensive these days with daycare and activities and down the road we have their education to think about.
i call these 2 my miracle babies, both times i was ready to go for fertility treatment but i ended up pregant by using just metformin.
i hope you are all well, and i recognise some of the cysters here that are alhamdillah pregnant again.
hopefully i will try to post here more often when i get a chance.
take care and inshallah may we all have a happy, healthy and fun SUMMER 2009 !!
@ sarahsmom - LOL .. It's alright. I often get confused between the sisters too. I am taking summer off because I did all the courses that I actually required and then I got tired of studying as well. So I decided to take summers off and work to pay for the next semester. So that is the plan that I am following right now.
I am so glad for all of the preggo sisters out there. May Allah bless you all with healthy babies. Ameen
Salaamz....
hope all of you are doing well and had a great weekend.
I have been going for daily US and BW for the past few days. The dose for Follistim was increased to 125 IU...and only one follicle has matured enough....it was 22mm this morning...and the Estradiol from yesterday was 210 (I havent gotten today's results).
I will give myself teh trigger shot tonight and go for the IUI on Wednesday after much deliberation.
We were not able to make up our minds if we should go for the IUI since only one follicle was there...or cancel this cycle and go for it the next month when there are atleast 2-3 foliicles...but it was a risk again as if there would have been more than 3 the doctor said she would have preferred to end that cycle too...
Then there were insurance issues too...authorization for the IUI was expiring...I had already gotten an extension 2 months ago...and although I did get another extension for a few days but still I wasnt sure....
Long story short...Inshallah going for the IUI day after tomorrow...
its my 3rd one and apparently the last one...I hope it works out...
Please remember me in your prayers...
Loads of best wishes and prayers for all....
Tomorrow they're putting a PICC line in my arm inshAllah to start feeding me from that. I've gone from 129 pounds to 113 pounds in seven weeks and my doctor looked very very concerned today.
Please pray for me... I'll be in the hospital for the entire next week... but while I know it'll be painful and all, I still feel inshAllah it'll at least make me feel better eventually.
I love you all... and I am so sorry I've been falling short on personals.
CHIPS... inshAllah this will be it, sister, I'll pray for you all...

FAITH&HOPE and NOMADIC:Jazak Allah for your kind words....
Nomadic...Inshallah it will do you good...I know its not the best thing to be in the hospital for that long, but I hope it all turns out well,Inshallah...and the the best for you and your baby....*hugz*
I've been lurking again....not for want of nothing to say but because I've been super busy as of late. Mostly work projects that were all dumped on me in the last week or so. I had my BLS Instructor class today that I passed with flying colors, so now I am certified to teach CPR!! Then a pretty big math test today, that I'm confident that I ace'd. This weekend was the first really good weekend of the year so my sister and I took the girls (her daughters, age 1 and 3) to the zoo and had a blast!
I don't have much time so I'll wrap this up quickly....
Sarahsmom ~ I can't PM I apparently don't have enough posts yet but I don't mind giving my personal e-mail address here. I usually have it open even when I'm at work. It's Simonemesina @ yahoo.com
To the rest of the sister....Prayers and dua's all around, especially you, Nomadic (though I hate single-ing people out when I don't have time to do personals).

Chips, my prayers are with you, please try not to stress too much sister, inshaAllah it will be alright.
Nomadic, get well soon inshaAllah sister. "Allahu ma'assaabereen." Soon it will be over and you'll be home enjoying the growth of your baby in the womb.
Wantababy, sister, although they call it a "surgery", laparoscropy is nothing like an open surgery, don't worry please. In the end, you'll get to find out about what's going on inside your belly. If that's endo, then it's something curable, right? They will remove it and you'll conceive right away inshaAllah. So, please try to relax, I know it's hard, our prayers are with you, we know what you're going through, and please remember, there is always a reason behind everything, and that reason is some kind of "khayr" for us, it's certainly what's best for us at that moment.
Kisses and hugs to all of you other sisters. My husband is going in for his SA tomorrow morning.

Salam sisters. How are you all? Inshallah I will get to personals in a min. I'm sorry I haven't been on but things have been quite crazy. Sarah has been sick and yesterday I took her to the doctor to find out she has an ear infection. She'll be three in the summer and this is her first one. Hamdillah she has a great doctor who gave her some meds to hopefully clear it up. But she's stuck to me..literally. We got a new bed for the guestroom this weekend and Sarah and I have been sleeping there so that DH doesn't get sick or he doesn't wake up every 45 min because of Sarah getting up and crying. I did take her to school a little yesterday and she seemed ok for a little bit (I only sent her for 2 hours). Then she had her first day at a new therapy place. I would have cancelled the session but I've been running after this place for months to get Sarah in. They are very very very good so they are very booked. People drive two and three hours for their kids to get therapy there. Hamdillah its about 10 min from my house but I had to rearrange everything so I could get Sarah in their openings. I also have exams coming up and research that is due in two weeks so I'm going a little crazy. Last week, at the gyn appointment, my doctor gave me the green light to start Clomid. She wanted me to lose a certain amount of weight (30 lbs) and I've actual lost closer to 40. They did an SA on DH last week. Now I'm just waiting for my period (which is now 3 days late..of course..because I want it to come) so I can go in and they do the baseline ultrasound. So pardon the craziness everyone! LOL!
Nomadic- I'm so sorry to hear that sister. Inshallah the hospital stay will make everything better for you and baby. I'm sorry I had your hopes up that it would all end around week 12 (thats how it was for me). Are you still in the hospital? How are you feeling now? Inshallah everything will go ok. I'll be making duaa for you to get better. Also don't worry about personals or anything just worry about your health and that baby. I know PICC lines can be a little painful..Sarah had to have one in for three weeks when she was first born. Inshallah all this stuff you are going through will be ajeer with Allah SWT.
Faith- How was your levels recently? I know you were worried but trust me a heartbeat is the best thing to hear. What has been going on with your pregnancy recently? More importantly, how are YOU feeling throughout the day? Taking your vitamins and everything on time?
Simone- Wahoo on passing your class! And with an A too! I think teaching CPR is great! Its important that everyone know how to do it both on adults and infants. Inshallah you'll be teaching it to others and indirectly helping to save lives! You go girl!!
IMG2005- Salam sister! Congrats on being so far in your pregnancy. Have you found out if you are having a boy or girl? Or are you keeping it a surprise? I couldn't keep it a surprise with my daughter. I had to go shopping and I wanted to get everything in either pink or blue. I'm a little dark so yellow would not have worked out as a neutral color!! You asked how I keep up with Sarah? LOL! I have NO IDEA! I do have to have a planner in my cell phone that beeps when Sarah has any appointments or else I'll totally forget about stuff. The important thing I found is to make time for JUST ME! Either when Sarah is in school or when DH gets home. I like to fill the tub with bubble bath and just relax. As for salat, when I got really big while pregnant with Sarah I just prayed on the edge of the bed or in a chair. Also, are you wearing a belly brace? They have those in maternity stores like Motherhood Maternity or Babies R Us. Its actually just a wrap around your stomach and back that gives you some back support. It might help any pain you are feeling.
ibcnuldu- Salam sister! I'm sorry but I'm not sure I know you. Tell us more about yourself! I see you live in OK! Hopefully no tornadoes yet!!
Mamawantmore- Hi sister! How is everything?
Diamond- Salam sister! How are you? How is everything?
Rusalka- Salam! How are you feeling now? I know an earlier post said you were sick. Don't worry about being an attention seeker. When we are sick we all feel like that. When I'm not feeling well I make DH come and feel my forehead and see if I'm getting hot. I make him do that like every 10 min. LOL! Inshallah you're feeling better. You said you had a hernia. Did they have to do surgery on it? I hope its not that bad.
Sunnier- Salam sister! I love your children's names, especially Aqsa! Just from that name I would guess you are Palestinian..right? My husband is and his neices and nephews all have names from palestinian cities.
Sara- Glad you are taking a summer break. Are you currently working or looking for work? How is that going?
Chips- Inshallah it'll all work out for you today. IUI can be a great help and inshallah it'll work this time. I know insurance can be horrible, but hamdillah they are paying for this one. As they say here, third times a charm so Inshallah I'll be praying that this is the one that works. Remember..NO STRESS!! And let us know what happens today.
wantababy- Inshallah it'll work out without having endo. But like I said before, my sister has endo and had three children. Please keep us posted after your procedure. Inshallah inshallah it'll turn out to be nothing. We're all praying for you.
Bundle of joy- Salam to you too sister. How are you doing?

Sarahsmom, selams dear... Sorry to hear that Sarah has an ear infection, but she will be alright inshaAllah, my bro had several infections in his ear when he was a kid and he recovered perfectly alhamdulillah. Good luck with the therapy too, glad you have a good place to go for that. One other thing is, congratulations on your receiving the green light on clomid, inshaAllah all the best for you and your family. When AF arrives and you start on clomid, you'll have your research and exams to focus on so that you won't have much time to think about and stress about clomid cycle and TTC, which is good imho. As for myself, I'm feeling better alhamullilah, almost back to normal. Thanks for asking sister. I can walk and do some house chores trying not to hurt my back again. My hernia isn't so bad to require surgery yet, I have two bumps, only bulging no perforation. Muscles around the hernia produce spasms to protect it, when this happens it hurts so bad, plus I have related pain in my hips and legs as well. Sometimes it literally locks me and I get stuck in bed (on the floor, more probably) for days. Anywayz, it will be fine inshaAllah, my mom, dad and brother have hernia too, so it runs in the family . Besides this, nothing much is going on in my life nowadays, just that looming SA for DH.

salaam sisters
inshallah, all of you are doing well
sarahsmom- how is sarah now? any more progress with her? thanks so much for your support--it means so much right now---where did your sister have endo? did she get pregnant with treatments? i guess i'm just worried with endo and pcos and i have heard endo can make it a difficult atmosphere for implantation..but with allah swt's will everything is possible
rusalka- thanks so much--you're so sweet..i'm not scared of surgery just scared of what they will find..may allah swt bless you soon and may some of the tests show some answers, inshallah
nomadic- how are you today?
faithnhope- i had a total of 8 follicles over 14mm and 3 were already mature before trigger so the risk of the others catching up was too much and most RE's won't do it with that many follicles that's like IVF
bundleofjoy- congrats! never got a chance to say mubarak to you!
sisters, thanks so much for your support- duas are so important and us praying for each other has made such a big difference..inshallah we will all be blessed soon...ameen
