Our old thread was getting really long. So, here is our new one.
This is a thread especially for those of us who have suffered multiple losses. As many of you know, I've just suffered my fifth loss. There are so many emotions, I don't even know where to start. I wanted to start a thread just for us. I needed a place to vent. I have so much anger about my losses. Also, I wanted to have a place to offer suggestions, advice and support to other cysters who've had multiple losses. This is hard, and it doesn't get any easier. My heart goes out to those of you who've had a loss but, especially to those of us who've suffered multiple losses.
So, c'mon on in cysters, don't be shy. Please let your experience to help another cyster get through her grief. Tell us your story and if you found a solution we'd like to hear about it. You never know what tidbit of info might help the next person. Tell us what gets you through the rough days. We do from time to time make reference to a higher power. We sometimes ask for prayers. We may make a reference to God, to Jesus, to heaven or an afterlife. I hope no one is offended by these references. If you have an alternate belief system we welcome you with open arms. Instead of prayers, you can ask us to send positive energy your way, or just to think of you during a difficult time. We want all of our cysters to feel comfortable coming here.
If you just need to vent please feel welcome here. Venting is good. If you need someone to lean on you'll find strong shoulders here. Let's use this space to lift each other up when we need it and to shed some light on the darkness.
Our purpose is to provide support and comfort to our cysters.
Thank you for reading this post!

As for me, Af is here full force. I am sure that things will taper down over the next few days. But we are on the wagon for this cycle. Hopefullly Dh's spermys will be a nice good quality and things will work out.
gina- Are you doing WW? I hope that the weight keeps coming off for you. How many lbs are you trying to lose? I would love to get about 15 off, but my acupuncturist says to maintain for now (I am not over weight, just on the high end of normal for my height) and worry about it later. I commend you for losing...it is hard!
QUESTION!!! Hey does anybody know what course of treatment drs recommend after RPL and negative blood work panels? I have had all of the testing in the book done, and everything has come back normal. Dh's sperm analysis was good as well. Anybody have any ideas?

I have an u/s tomorrow to find out what the $%^& is going on with my uterus. I'm really scared that something might be wrong. Trying to think of other things.
Ringbearer,
Yes, I am doing WW. It's going OK. The week before AF and of AF are just awful for weight loss for me. But, things seem to be back on track this week. I've joined a challenge to get at least 200 minutes of exercise a week. I just joined it yesterday and so far I've clocked 145 minutes! As far as how many lbs I'm trying to lose...that's a question I don't usually answer so, I'll just say A LOT! I am a plus size thanks to PCOS. Most of my symptoms have reversed or lessened greatly, this is the one thing that hasn't changed. This is the last and most resistant symptom and I'm determined to reverse this one too. Yes, it is hard but, so is being overweight.

After all of my testing was complete my Doc told us to go ahead and try again. I had a cerclage placed at 12 wks because of a suspected IC. But, that ended up not working for me.

Tensei,
I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.
Just keep in mind, if they do find something you'll have an answer and you'll know what needs to be done for next time.

Gina, thanks for the new thread. I know I don't post often, but I do lurk and read. School is out in a few days, so I should be able to post more often!
I'm always thinking of all of you gals and sending you all strength and positive thoughts!
Ringbearer, my new RE has me on baby aspirin and metformin daily and said that he'll put me on a low dose of heparin during my upcoming ivf cycle. The RE said that he agrees that there may be clotting disorders that only show up during bfps, so he wants to cover all potential bases.
We're headed to IVF in July and I'm really excited! The shared-risk program that we're doing is amazing--it includes 3 IVF + 3 FET, all preliminary tests, all monitoring (u/s & b/w), stimulating meds, and office visits. The cost is $25,000 and has a 100% refund if there is not a live birth+30 days. Doesn't that sound like a great deal?! I can't wait to get started ... I go next week for a mock transfer and to get my dates!
X Marks my spot. AF is here. CD 2. Waiting on 5-9 for femara

Hey guys. I am waiting for AF to show up. How long did AF show up for you guys after a m/c? With my last m/c I induce my AF pretty quickly so I could ttc again right away. This time I am taking the slow boat. It has taken me much longer to recover emotionaly. Plus, we are going to costa rica next month.....so I am really not wanting to get a BFP quite yet. We aren't using protection either...
Niki- I am so glad to see your post. I have been wondering how you are doing.
Gina- I am glad WW is going well. I still need to join.....it is horrible I been talking about it for a few weeks now. Thats bad!
Gina-I hope I didn't offend you by asking. You are right, it is none of my business...and hey your doing way better than me. I can't seem to get motivated to excercise for 10 minitures a week lately never mind 200! Thanks also for the info about treatment for rpl.
BioGal-Thanks for the info on treatment for rpl. I have decided to self medicate using aspirin, and I have to say my last two afs have been a lot less clotty. As far as your IVF plan goes, it sounds wonderful! So, if you get pg on the first try, do the other two trys roll over to your second baby? I just never quite understood that. Also, is that through your drs office or is is through a private funding company? If we end up moving to IVF, that sounds like a nice opition.
khenders- Looks like we are cycle buddies! I am cd 3. Af made a quick arrival, and she looks like she might leave quickly this month too! Is this your first cycle back ttc?
Texanna- I waited a whole year after my first, well it was a forced wait b/c af never showed. Then after the second 3 months, and the 3rd 6 months and this loss 2 months. As long as we have drs approval, we are going for it.
ANOTHER QUESTION:::
Sorry for all of the question answering, but this is the best forum to do it in...
Have any of your Dr.s recommended PGD with IVF as your best option? Ours has and I just don't know how that would help us. Both of us have a normal kareotype, so they wouldn't know what to look for!

I caved and tested this morning , BFN... *sighs* It is only 11 DPO... but still, I think its correct. I am just not feeling "pregnant". Other then occasional nausea after I eat, lack of appetite, being overly gassy and a little bloating.... there is nothing else. No sore boobs, no breast changes, no more cramps, not really peeing more etc. Its like they all went away over the last 2 days....
I am so confused about getting my BETA tomorrow.... I think I should just wait for AF to come.... though I don't feel like that is coming any time soon either!
What would you do?

Anna,
After my losses it took 5 weeks for AF to visit.
Ringbearer,
I'm not offended, it's just a very personal question that I choose not to answer. If I told you how much weight I need to lose, you'd be gasping for air...LOL. I wouldn't want you to colapse sitting there in front of your computer, by yourself...LOL
Hope everyone is having a good day!

"My heart is broken, but not my spirit. My desire to be a Mother is greater than my fear of another miscarriage." Gina M.
Gina, is there anyway we can post the link to the previous thread? I think there is alot of good info on there. The stuff I posted about why mc's happen and what rpl is and it's testing is on there. It may help others to see what kind of testing they should be getting. Just a thought .
Anna- I never got af naturally but chose to induce about 8 weeks after I found out I was mc'ing. I didn't do it to start ttc just to get af and clean things out. I induced another one about a month ago. I will let af stay away til after my pap in july before I invited her stupid ass back and start clomid
Nic, nice to see you and so happy that you have graduated to an ob! I know your in 7th heaven! I love to see your post. You deserve it! Your ticker does not bother me, but again that's me! I love to see how your progressing. Your first tri will almost be over and on to the second!
Khen-Your on your way! Good luck on this cycle!
I am anxiously waiting the appointment on monday. It is good to know I wont need any more test and Ivcan get my plan of action. I want to be able to enjoy my summer and know that when I start ttc that things will hopefully go smoother. I plan to up my curves visit to at least 4 times a week, but for sure 3! I stopped going on a regular basis for the last month. I already went monday and tuesday, only 2 more this week and I will have accomplished my goal! Yesterdays temp outside was only 55 but tomorrow will be 92 plus humid. I will enjoy my pool tomorrow!

ringbearer, PGD = pre-implantation genetic diagnosis: during this test they take a cell from the embryos to analyze for genetic problems (chromosomal abnormalities); they look for things like trisomy (3 of a chromosome instead of 2), like Down's Syndrome, or monosomy (1 of a chromosome instead of 2) such as Klinefelters. Even if you and dh have normal karyotypes you can have a baby with too many or too few chromosomes ... this typcially happens because of poor quality eggs that have the wrong number of chromosomes. I'd be happy to explain more if you'd (the biology teacher in me is coming out), so pm if you'd like.
