I hope that if you have a moment , you will please pray for my brother Joshua who has been missing since Monday, September 9. He is 16 years old, and a difficult kid.
Josh has never been what most people consider a well-rounded person, but he has never run away before. When he gets in trouble, he always, always calls me, and I have not heard from him once during these 6 trying days (nor has he attempted to contact anyone we know).
I know he is in God's hands, wherever he is. That is not helping me sleep at night. I fear for his safety, and pray for his protection and that God's will be done in every aspect of his life.
Many thanks and blessings,
Ladybugg

I know this is a terrible worry! When my brother (who is now 42) was about the same age, he was missing for a few weeks. It turned out he was OK, living in his van with his dog parked at the coast near the San Francisco Bay Area (about 3 hours from here) . He just needed time alone, I guess (my dad and he had been fighting over my brother's pot smoking).
He returned safely and has been off all drugs for years. I am praying that your brother is safe and that you will hear from him very soon!
Love and hugs,
Kathryn

Ladybugg, I'm so sorry this is happening to your family. You're in my prayers. About five years ago, my brother (then 21) went AWOL from the military. He was gone for four months~during Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's, birthdays, it was horrible. I cried day in and day out, not knowing where he was, and seeing my parents as upset as they were. It all worked out in the end, thanks to a lot of prayer and hope. Please keep us posted on your family. Take care!
I am a foster parent to teenage girls who have been neglected and/or abused. Alot of my girls carry so much baggage from their past. Some even choose to walk out or run away due to anger and many due to the fact that fitting in with rules which weren't taught to them until their teen years. I'm sure many of us will agree that being a teenager is real hard, and as sad as it sounds to repeat what my parents used to say, "it's not like it was when we were kids". Though we have many happy times with our girls, there are times when they just drive us up the wall, and times when they really stress us out with worry. I really turn to prayer during this time, and find that it helps. So keep pushing through the hard times. Though I haven't gone through the exact type of run aways, I have been influenced by our kids who run away out of anger and come back. I just wanted you to know that you have someone that understands what your going through and that God is totally in control. Keep praying through it, and things will work out.
I'm sorry to hear about this, but know that my DH and I are praying for his safe return home, with peace and breakthrough in his life to get through his rough times.
God Bless You!

Many thanks for all your prayers and warm wishes. Josh came home last night, much to our relief. He has not shared any details of his "vacation" with us, but we are grateful to have him back.
Again, thanks. I believe in the power of prayer, and you all helped. God bless.

I am so relieved that he came home safely!
I will keep him in my thoughts and prayers that, whatever is troubling him will be resolved quickly in a way that will be beneficial to him.
Much love to you and all the others in your family... Kathryn
