My cousin committed suicide, please pray for his family

I received a very sad phone call yesterday. It seems that my cousin, Gary, committed suicide this week. His sister found his body yesterday. Apparently, his soon to be ex-wife had her oldest son call and demand more money from him, this after he had heard from her telling him that she wanted $3000.00 a month for child support. He will be buried on Thursday.

His family, my Aunt, and his three sisters are not Christians. Please pray for this family that is in need right now that God will work through this sad situation to the good.

Please pray that there will not be a "domino effect" like my Mother is concerned about inside his family. My Aunt has had a lot of problems in the past few years and we were afraid for her for a while too.

Please pray that somehow, we (in the family who know Jesus as our Savior) can be a light, a mirror of Christ's image, and help to show that true comfort can be found through Christ Jesus.

Oh Laural!

How awful! I feel so sad for all concerned. Suicide leaves such an overwhelming pain to all it touches.

I am saying a prayer for all concerned...for comfort for them and strength for your family to be able to show God's love and caring to them in the midst of this crisis.

Thank you for your prayers. I spoke with one of my cousins today, and she said that she does not think that his kids are going to go to the funeral. Apparently the oldest one is on suicide watch, himself. How sad that a person can think of ending their life before it even really begins.
