I think alot of you have heard about my cousin Emilie. For those of you who haven't I am just going to let you read the new website that my cousin Michele created for her.
THere are a few fundraisers going on in Ottawa in November.
I am also going to organize atleast one way of rasing money here in Eganville. I was wondering if any of you had some really unique ideas. We have already been thinking of many of the more obvious ones like donation jars, Benefit Dances, raffles, and silent auctions.
If any one has any other ideas I'd love to hear them.
organize a golf tournament next spring/summer, a walk-a-thon or possibly a dance-a-thon

I had to raise $2000 for the Breast Cancer Walk I did in September. My friend and I stood outside the LCBO and raised $600 in about 5 hours and at Loblaws about $400 in 6 hours.
At the LCBO, you need permission at the corporate level and it seems easy to get. For the grocery store, you can just ask the manager.
It doesn't bring in a ton of money, but its a pretty good amount for little preparation and time.

Can a fundraiser be organized at her school....something along the lines of "spare change" day...where all of the students bring in their spare change and you put it in one big bucket? I'll let you know if I think of anything more.
My mind has been a little hazy lately since my 9 year old son is being tested for CF. It's such a scary disease and I watch him get sicker day by day.
