Default My depression is improving here is what I did

I was desperate a few months ago. It was really bad, but none of my doctors would prescribe me anything.

Sooo here is what I changed.

I unplugged myself. I cut myself down to an hour of internet a day. I had been spending maybe 6. My internet could only be fun, no infertility research.

I quit spending time with a group of people that were mostly supportive but sometimes ummm not.

I started using these cds my therapist suggested. I swear, these were the catalyst. There are two by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson- Ocean Waves and Alpha Relaxation System, and Total Relaxation by Kelly Howell.

After a week or so I could feel the difference. We put them in our 3 cd changer and play them all each night as we go to sleep.

I cannot tell you the change they have made. I am not obsessive anymore, things don't seem as overpowering. I sleep better, and I am getting more accomplished. Plus, I fall asleep quickly- very little tossing and turning. I really do attribute this to the cds. I am a pretty skeptical person, and I am convinced.

Good for you! Depression can be such a sneaky beast!!! Sounds like you took it out at its foundation!! Thanks for posting your success! I hope your experience can help other cysters!

Environment has such a huge unspoken influence on our moods and emotions, sounds like you kicked out all the downers and added some soothing... good reminder for me too!
