Default my dermatologist appointment

Well i saw a dermatologist last week about my chin acne and she told me that it is caused by bacteria around the mouth and it is just plain old cystic acne.So she put me on retin a micro and duac gel.The duac is irritating my skin so im gonna ask for something else for my exsisting acne. The retin a micro is drying me out but she told me to expect that for 2 weeks. My only problem is that i dont have prescription coverage right now so when my samples run out im gonna have to see if i can try the generic retin a.The only problem is finding a generic that compares to the retin a micro.Does anybody know if the retin a cream or gel is better(the generic).Ive been using the murad products and those are pretty expensive so maybe now that im giving up the murad i'll be able to afford the retin a micro without much of a price difference.

I am on that regimen sort of but I also take an oral antibiotic. Duac gel contains clydamycin and benzol peroxide. Benzol peroxide aggravates me so maybe it is for you too. I use plain clyndamycin lotion and have no problems with it. Retin-A-Micro is not drying me out too much but I use it every other day and on the day off I use my alphahydroxy gel to remove dead skin cells.
I will be curious too see how the retin a micro does after a few weeks. So far it gave me one extra zit by my upper mouth. Not a major problem area and its going away already. I do not know if Retin A micro has a generic. Does anyone else know?

Update: My regimen of Antibiotics, Clyndamycin and Retin-A-Micro seems to be starting to work. Derm said 3 full months to see best progress. Its early in my second month now. I got one tiny zit this cycle that is all ,and i am the one who usually gets one big, deep cyst at mid-cycle time. My skin feels smoother when I wash my face too. I think my skin looks brighter too. Hope it continues to work . I would love to stop the antibiotics some day. I get too many yeast infections when Im on them. She gave me oral nystatin for them but i don't want to take yet another drug. I can manage them myself for the most part.
