Forgive me girls, but I've just cut and pasted what I put on the May Mom's board....I'm so exhausted after a bad night with Dara.
Well we are really no further on. He believes it is endometriosis and said he would put money on it. He said it could be engorged blood vessels, but says he's 99.9% certain it's endometriosis. He's confident that it's nothing more concerning. He wants to wait til I have a natural period and see if the pain goes, if it doesn't he will refer me for the laparoscopy. In the meantime he's prescribed a different pain killer which should work a bit better. The ovaries are in a bad way, but he reckons they are no worse than when I was first diagnosed so he wants me to go back to my healthy living again - being religious taking the metformin and correcting my diet and getting lots of exercise. So nothing really new until I get a period... In a way I would have preferred to do the laparoscopy now, but that would only be to satisfy my impatience...I just want to know what the problem is and get it sorted. At the end of the day though I think what we've decided to do is better, that way I won't have to have an operation which just maybe would be unnecessary. So fingers crossed and lots of prayers that the pain will improve or go away after a period.
Also...Dara is sick again. She finished her antibiotics on Friday and by last night she was really sick again. I also had brought her to the doctors. Her chest infection is back, the rash is back, the poor mite can't sleep and only wants enough milk to satisfy her thirst and is refusing her solids today. she's back on the antibiotics again.
Let's hope AF shows up for you and the pain goes away. How long to do those sort of referrals take if you need one? x
I know, the poor little thing...I feel so sorry for her.
We're lucky that we have health insurance through DH's work, so I'd go privately I think...once our allowance will cover it. I'm guessing a private referral would be quick enough, but I don't know about an NHS referral. Must ask him the next time I'm there. I've to go back once I get a period, so I'm hoping that'll be soon.
Girls, you're not going to believe this. I GOT MY PERIOD TODAY!!! I'm so, so shocked. It means that the spotting I had a few weeks after the miscarriage must have actually been a period, and here we are exactly four weeks later and I have AF.... Yippeee.
At least now we'll see if the pain goes away and if not I'll get the referral done before Christmas.
