I take Yasmin and Spironolactone. I started taking both of these January of 2007, I lost about 12 pounds in the first 2 months without really doing anything. Since then I have lost an additional 45 pounds with diet and exercise. Lately, because of injuries and surgery, it has been more diet than exercise.
I never really got bloated before I started Yasmin, but I did have irregular periods, slight acne, and facial hair. Yasmin has helped with all of these things. I have been very happy on Yasmin. My doctor suggested that I switch my BCP (because of other reasons) and I told her that I only wanted to do that as a last resort. Fortunately, I think I have the other problems under control and I didn't have to switch my BCP.

I take a good multi-vitamin and 1 more l-acetyl carnitine at night. Another cyster posted a report on LAC and the benefits of using it. After reading that I made sure to take it and it gives me alot more energy. My husbnd and I order the vitamins they come in blister packs. 1 for am and 1 for pm. I believe in the product and we are gonna get involved with being a distributor. I am not gonna put there name on here cuz I don't think its right to sell "businesses" on here. If you want to know a list of all the vitamins i could email you. Its a long list. Alot of the stuff I took before but now I just buy 1, well 2 products. Good Luck to you!
I was on Yasmin for a few months and never gained a pound. In fact, I lost weight on it (not because of it per se, but because I switched SSRIs). The Yasmin did not prevent me from losing weight is my point.
I really wanted to keep using it but I lost my medical insurance and couldn't afford to stay on it. When I get my med insurance again, I will definitely use it again.
