This is my second post here - Just wanted to share with everyone that I started taking Aldactone in May and after 4 months, my skin is now completely clear. Ok, right before my period I might get one or two but my skin is really clear - the last time I had such clear skin was before puberty. I'm 35 now and have tried battling acne with almost everything but Aldactone really worked. I just have to deal with my acne scars now - which is depressing because now that my face is clear of acne, I see the scars, whereas before I would only see the acne.
Anyhow I just hope that Aldactone will also help my hair to grow back.
That is great!!!! Can I ask what your dosage you are taking?? I have been on 50 mg for the last five months, and have not seen any difference yet. I would love to cross one symptom off the list...

Goal: Better general health, drop 60 lbs, gain control of the hair and acne, give my DH his wife back.
Metformin - 1000 mg (changed 10/06 from 2000 mg - NOT by choice) Spiro - 25 mg (reduced from 50 mg 10/06 - NOT by choice) Lipitor 40 mg (dosage increased 10/06) Tricor 145 mg (added 10/06) Zovia 1/35 (since 08/06)
I started 100mg for 3 months which was enough to clear the skin but I upped it to 150mg as I wanted it to be effective for my hair loss problem too. So it's been about 7 weeks since I'm on 150mg. I also posted a thread on the Medication - BCP. I also took BCP for the first 3 months and it really messed up my hormones, I was depressed, no energy, just feeling yuck - so I'm in the process of getting rid of the excess estrogen in my body by using progesterone cream. Hope the above helps and please don't hesitate to contact me for further clarification!!!
