They just put my cat to sleep and he was part of the family. I know that some of you might not think that hes a person but to us he was part of the family. They did it because he couldnt breath and he was going blue. I'm just hurting so much.

I'm so sorry to hear about your kitty. I will be praying for you. I know the pain of having to say goodbye to a furbaby. Something that has helped me is putting a scrapbook together.
Lots of hugs and prayers.
Oh I am so thinking about you. I have a house full of animals and about 2 years ago we had to put one of our dogs to sleep. It was awful. You get so attached to pets they really become like one of the family. I understand your pain. It is normal to grieve the loss of your pet. God bless and I will be praying for you and your family.

I hear you. I lost a much loved boy (Lenny, a big fat orange tomcat) last October, and I still get choked up talking about him. I know how much it hurts. I'm so sorry.
I've had cats all of my life. Right now I have six and I just took in a stray kitten that I'm looking to give to a good home. I know exactly how devastating it can be to lose a pet, especially a cat. Each one of ours has it's own distinctive personality and we love them very much. The pain will subside and the memory will remain. Just remember that there are always kitties that need good homes!

I'm sorry Tina, losing a pet is just as hard as losing a close member of the family (especially when they are looked upon as your 'kid'.) My thoughts are with you. This poem, is one I keep with me, and I thought it might bring some comfort.
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Tina,
I lost my dearest old friend (a dachshund) last year. She was 17 and I had her since I was only 12. I am now 29. She was the my first unconditional love and my first real loss. She was the best! I miss her so...and can so feel your pain. You are certainly in my prayers tonight.
It will get better...It always does.
Best wishes & my thoughts are with you!!
P.S. When I feel sadness... The Rainbow Bridge Poem always makes me feel a little bit better!
