My first Laser Experience! I had written about my consultation and my test patch area. Welp, it worked wonders for that. I had a perfectly smooth random patch of skin that was surrounded by very coarse black hair that hadn't been treated...
But today, I went in to do my whole face. My appointment was at 9:15, she called me back at 9:18 - there was NO bsing around here! She sat me down, and we started immediately. She was amazed by me - saying I must have a high pain tolerance. Well, no I do not - but this is something I needed to do. I had to do. Pain was something I was willing to take. Though, I admit - it didn't hurt too bad. In some area's where the hair was thicker it did indeed feel like burning - instead of its typical 'snap of a rubber band'. And the smell of burning hair was disgusting! It didn't take long, I was done by 9:40. The redness was gone within 20 to 30 minutes - maybe even less! My skin reacted really well - and I have ultra sensitive skin! (As in, I can have an eyelash on my cheek, and if I brush it off, a big red welt will appear). At my dermatologist it was $1,032! But it was for a "package" which entails how many treatments you need within a year in which you bought the package (so this time next year!). I go back for another treatment in 5 weeks - I'm so excited! I cried on the way home....OH to feel normal again!
