Well I have to star out by saying thank you! I have been lurking and learning tons here! I was just dx on 1/7/06 after years of chronic fatigue (and that is put very lightly). My primary doctor left me with no answers and expected me to go on living miserable! Finally after much nagging by family and friends I went to an endo. doctor. She was my savor! I was sick of thinking I was crazy and making up my symptoms! I just started metformin 500mg two days ago (my doctor wants me to go up to 1500mg slowly)
Your post have informed me sooo much my doctor couldn't believe how much I have learned. And most of all it was WONDERFUL to see how many of the cysters have children, because that was a huge fear of mine! I look forward to learning more and hopefully making lots of friends here. And hopefully having my chance to reassure a new soulcyster she is not alone.

Dx with PCOS and IR on Jan. 7th 2006
Daily meds include metformin 1500mg
Yasmin and a thyroid med also.

I am currently on metformin 500mg gradually working my way up to 1500 as well(doctor wants me to start out slow) Children was a big concern of mine as well, I've hoped and prayed that I would be able to have a biological child of my own one day and on this site I've seen there is still hope for us Good Luck and if you ever wanna talk just send me a message... take care
