Question My first post :)

Hello everyone. Another newbie here

My period has been irregular since menarche. After 5 months of not having one, I decided to go to the dr. The OB suspected it was PCOS, so she prescribed me Provera to induce a period. After 7 days of taking them, I got my period (May 29). On the 6th day(June 3), I went back to the hosp to have an ultrasound.

Lo and behold, both my ovaries have polycystic features . Dr also asked me to have an FBS (fasting blood sugar) test done. When results came back, it showed my sugar level is normal. She prescribed me 1500mg a day of Metmorfin, to be taken for 6 months. I'm on Met for 7 days now. It's been
a tough week, but I'll survive.

I have a question though... I got my period (after taking provera) on May 29...it was quite long as it stopped only around the 5th of June. 7 days after my last period, I'm bleeding again. It is very light though and it's almost gone now. Is that normal?

Welcome!

I think it's probably pretty normal to have irregular bleeding under the circumstances. Since your hormones are a little wacky at the moment, your body may not know for sure what's going on. You could probably give your doc a call to be sure, of course. But I vote for "normal".

I am taking the same meds....no period yet though. Let me know how things go for you. I'm so curious to know how these things are affecting other girls.

sure thing

actually, the doc told me to expect my period 1st week of next month..she said if i don't get one, i'd have to come back. so i'm a wee bit confused... i had a period 2 weeks earlier than expected, and i'm wondering if i shd still expect a period on the 1st week of july.
