 My goals, hopes and dreams...
Maybe this is the wrong place to put it, as this isn't a sleeping dream, but something that I want to accomplish in the future. I feel that this is the only safe-place I can say it, cause, well, My Best-Friend isn't overly supportive, and my Boy Friend, can only support so much.
I'm tired of living in a society, where we are encouraged to go quickly, move faster, make money, have jobs that drain energy out of us, buy status symbols and to generally not look after ourselves fully.
We live in a society, where the people that help to 'relax-us' (entertainment industry) make huge amounts of money, and in some cases are worshipped, just because they give us a couple hours of time to sit down and watch a movie, lsiten to music, and the like. Especially when we ourselves can provide ourselves with comfort, yet we seldom do.
This society is really harmful to women, and can lead us to have over-stressed, over-analyzed lives, that aren't beneficial.
Now comes my dream...I want to write, and be a speaker/activist for this. I want to try to bring change to society, and encourage a shift in our thinking, because right now, our thinking isn't one that's very positive.
In a few years, I want to stand in front of groups of people, talking about slowing down and de-stressing, and experiencing the world the way it was supposed to be experienced, and not in a way where people are making money off of it.
Because human beings matter,
Because women matter,
Because our planet matters,
I want to make a change.
Thank you for letting me share my dream and hope for the future, this has definately made me feel better.
