I am so thankful for her being in my life, teaching me how to be a person

I am thankful that she took me as i am, accepted my son and our soon to be daughter with her namesake as her own with no old school prejudices...

here is a little ditty my dad sent me this morning and i found it so fitting

toosday
today will be like all other days
but different still
a little quiter perhaps when
a face flickers behind our eyes
or a scratchy voice tickles our
inner ear
curiously insistent yet kind
we will smile inside and out
