Today... This morning... I found out that a very dear friend was killed yesterday in Iraq.

As a pilot for the Marines he was... A gentle soul... a devoted friend... the list could go on...

I've known him since I where 5 years old I just turned 32... he had just a few months to catch up... our parents still live a block away from each other.

My last contact from him was to apologize that he knew he missed my birthday... he left his date book home and didn't want me to think he had completely forgotten. I e-mailed back... that it was ok... I knew he had much to do... I hope he at least got to read it.

Whatever your faith is... please send a prayer or positive thought to his family and friends... that we may get through this.

Tears are streaming down my face...

I am so sorry to hear about your friend's death. It is so sad, especially now the war is over and service men are coming home.

I just wanted to say I am SO sorry for the loss of your friend.
My smypathy goes out to his family. It breaks my heart to hear things like this.

We all need to thank a solider for fighting for us.
