My husband was just diagnoised in march with diabetes. Its hard and if I keep going I will get it too if I dont hae it alrady. I just need to get the motivation.... Sometimes its so hard to though.

It is hard but since he is having to make lifestyle changes, you can change right along with him and be a motivation to each other. I highly encourage you to attend a diabetes education class with him if you can. Once you get serious about making the necessary changes, it will be easier to get into a new groove and stay there. The hardest thing for me to give up was not sugar but potatoes and Campbell's tomato soup. My 2 favorite things in the whole world. It does get easier each time you say no, though.

Its hard, but you can do it. I don't give up anything, I just eat it in moderation. But sometimes eating it in moderation is harder than just doing without, because once I eat some I want more..lol..but you don't have to give up everything just watch portions.
DX 1994-told to lose weight by GYN,Suffered 12 years before seeking treatments: REDX 2006 by a family doc sent to endo July 31, 2006 and glad I went; Byetta, 2000mg Metformin, 28 units of levemir, fish oil, 1000mg calcium. Type 2 diabetic and high cholesterol dx March 05, psoriasis dx 1992.
