Smile My Husband Got Me a Mother's Day Present...

It's a gold heart locket that has "Forever in My Heart" engraved on the front, and inside it says "when someone you love becomes a memory, that memory becomes a treasure." We're going to take the babies' pictures we got from the hospital and cut them to fit in the locket -- one on each side.

It's beautiful. He cried when he gave it to me and promised me that next Mother's Day will be happier.

I have dreaded this day and it hasn't been so bad. We finally got the certified copies of the birth certificates yesterday. I though it was poetic they were issued on my birthday.

You are all in my thoughts today. We are all mothers. Sending hugs...

Bunnyscott,

It sounds like you have a sweet, loving and thoughtful husband.

It is good to hear your day was a little easier than expected.

I'm praying we all have better Mother's Day next year.

Kim

That was truly sweet of him! I also hope your next Mother's day will be a happy one.

What an absolute sweetheart you have. I cried when I read your message. I've said this before, but I'm so sorry for your loss. You have been through a tremendous amount. And I also hope next Mother's Day is a much better one. I miscarried about a month before Mother's Day 2001 and was heartbroken. It was a very, very hard day. The following Mother's Day I was a few weeks along with my Declan. Don't give up hope - the sun will come out again, I promise.

Lots of love,
Amanda

Paula, I can tell that your DH is one in a million. What a wonderful guy. The locket sounds beautiful - it will be a symbol of your special bond with your little twins for ever. (((hugs)))
