Are you talking about an A1c or another type of test?
If you are talking about your results from the A1c blood test... I truly hate to inform you that anything over a 6 on the 'scale' means insulin-resistant diabetes.
Unfortunately it is not uncommon to get diabetes if you have PCOS, and even less so if it goes unchecked, unbalanced and your weight &/or sugar levels stay high.
A 17 on the A1c is VERY high and don't be surprised if they suggest insulin shots &/or other meds like glucophage to drop it quickly. I am sure they will recommend a meeting with a dietitian or nutricianist as well.
I will hope for the best outcome for you. HTH....

It doesn't matter what a person looks like. What matters is the heart of them, their soul and how they love others. How much you can give, not take.
