Default Is my lack of energy due to depression?

Lately I have been wanting to sleep a lot in the day and stay up very late. I don't understand myself for this because I love being outdoors and I love sunlight. But lately it seems more comforting to lock myself away and bask in darkness. Has anyone else experienced this sort of thing, and if so, how did you deal with it?

How long have you been this way?If it has been over a month i would say it's a good possibility that you are depresed. Also are you staying up too late at night?Because messed up sleep patterns can depress you and make you very sleepy all day.You know your body and mind best though and if you are very concerned about it you might want to speak with your doctor about it.Lack of energy can mean alot of things.

I would definitely visit with your physician if it continues. It could be depression, but it can be many other things as well. Your thyroid might be out of synch, you could have a sleep disorder or it could be depression. These things can be dealt with. Hope you get answers soon. Lendi
