Default My life with PCOS

I'm 34 and a student. I've been married since Dec. 1988 to Brent. I was DXed in 1999 with PCOS and Hashimoto's thyroiditis.

We never really gave TTC much thought until that fateful day that I got a message on my answering machine from my Nurse Practitioner. She had something she wanted to talk to me about. I knew it couldn't be good news, and cried for hours. Of course I'd gotten the message too late to call her back that day, so I called the next day.

She wanted to set up an appt to talk to me and an appt with an endo. The endo was great and gave me a bunch of info to read.

Brent and I decided that we'd quit trying to prevent TTC and just see what happens. Well that was three years ago, still no false alarms even.

We've moved across country and now live on a farm. We have a four bedroom house that seems so empty.

I guess school has been good for me, because I don't have much time to think about things. I really want to give Clomid a try, but until I'm done with Fall semester and licensed, I don't want to add to my stress level.

Oh did I mention that I work PMs and don't get home until after Brent's asleep... Not likely to get pregnant with no BD. But I really like my job, and can't see changing shifts. In the summer, Brent's not home until after 9PM anyway, so what's the point? Either he's sleeping, or I'm sleeping so I can get up at 4:30 AM for the AM shift.

Well that's enough pity-party for me.

Never lose faith girl... And finish that degree. As a fellow Nurse. IT is very important to full fill your dreams. And be able to talk to others about the Syndrome from a medical stand point. It would have been wonderful for me to talk to a Nurse who Had PCOS, while going thru it all........
