I had just read another Cysters post that reminded me of a poem I had written a while ago, and share below:

MY LIFES CHARM

I know it is strange
To already know your face
To have already touched your hair
Even though you have never been there

To have held you in my arms
Embraced your laugh as my life’s charm
Felt your skin against mine
But not yet in this lifetime

And they ask me why I am painting a room
Or staring into thin air
But I know something they don’t
One day, you will be right there

And I will touch your hair
I will hold you in my arms
I will feel your skin against mine
And you will be my life’s charm…
