Default My Loss at 12.5 weeks

HI IM Shelly.
I have PCOS and took metformin to concieve our 2 children.
I got pregant for the first time ever without any "help" and at 13 weeks went in to have my normal Sono to find the baby had died at 12.5 weeks.
I am terribly sad and feeling that had I taken the Metformin my baby would still be safe in the womb.
I know there is nothing I can do but go foward.
My Dr said it "should be fine" next time but I am so nervous to TTC again.. anyways jsut wanted to share my story

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your baby. That is just terrible and so hard to lose a baby, especially that far along. I lost a baby at 12 weeks (baby had died at 9 weeks or so) and it was so difficult, I thought I had passed the mark where everything would be safe, I allowed myself to relax and was so shocked to find out the baby I was carrying was gone. Don't blame yourself. It wasn't necessarily because of the Met. I stopped taking Met with DD, didn't even take it during the first trimester, and she was born full term. The second pregnancy I was on Met the whole time and still miscarried. These things just happen sometimes, it's probably not the Met that caused it. I'm sorry ((hugs)).

I'm so sorry about what you are going through. Please don't blame yourself for what happened. It was not your fault at all. It's also normal to feel afraid and nervous to TTC again after a miscarriage. I've been there several times and I was a nervous wreck. Allow yourself to grieve. It's okay to be sad. (((hugs)))

I'm so sorry. Lots of hugs are coming your way as you cope! Please know that you are not to blame. These things sure do teach us what kind of medical care we want in the future! (((Hugs)))

I am so sorry for you loss (*hugs*) Don't blame yourself, I'm sure there was nothing you could do to prevent it... as much as we always wish there was.
We're here if you need to vent, or talk, or just need someone to relate to you.

Shelley I am so sorry for your loss. I know how much you want to blame something. I wanted to go into my doctors office who told me to stop Met immediately and march up to him and tell him what an idiot he is. i also have to tell myself that something else caused my m/c and even if it was the Met there was nothing anyone could have done to save my baby. I wish that you didnt have to be here...but now that you are. We are all in the same place and we're here to build you back up when you feel so low.

Trust me, these ladies have helped me just by saying (((HUGS))) or anything that is positive. I hope that we can help you. You are in my prayers as you find peace in your heart. Your baby is probably playing with my baby.....take comfort in knowing they are PERFECT in Heaven in the Lord's arms.
