I worked out all my annual leave days today. I've six weeks leave to take and because I only work 4 days a week I only have 55 working days left now!!!! I'm so excited!!!!
The time is flying by - I'm 17 weeks pregnant already....where are these weeks going?
As you know i only work part-time term time, so have 3 weeks of school holidays before i'm off, which means 14 weeks left, that is 70 half days left. Hurray!

The time whizzed by for me and it was mine Maternity Leave before I knew it!
j_gormo: It usually depends how long you've worked for a company or who you work for as to what you're entitled to I think.
However long you've worked for a company, you're entitled to maternity leave of 26 weeks (I think, or 39 weeks or something after April??) if you've worked there for a certain period of time you're entitled to a further 26 weeks. If you've not worked there long enough you won't be paid Statutory Maternity Pay and need to apply for a Maternity Allowance from the goverment. Which is...bit crap!
I think you get the first 6 weeks at 90% of your weekly earnings, then it goes down. Am sure someone else will explain it better than me as I did not quality for it
