Because this is my last school year before getting my bachelor's, I spent most of christmas break in my hometown at my parents' house. When I was leaving, my mom asked me if I wanted some leftover pork chops, and I said yes. Well she ended up putting two bags of groceries in my car, full of goodies! She put in milk because of course I'd need that right away and is the most likely to go bad in a refrigerator over christmas break! She put my favorite cereal and snack in there (cheetos!), and today when I opened up the container with the pork chops it turns out that she packed me a whole meal for tonight! It's a big deal considering when I try to feed myself it usually ends up as cereal or ramen noodles. Of course there was lots of other things in the bags, too.
I'm thankful my mom is looking out for me even though I dont' live at home anymore!

When I first lived on my own I suddenly realized how much my parents did for me.
I often think that no one will ever love you as much as your parents do.
I wish I would have thanked them more.
