My mum died last saturday(25th), 2 weeks after the diagnosis of leukaemia, they were only treating symptoms rather than the disease as she was "too old".. at least she didn't suffer and is out of pain from the rheumatoid arthritis that she has had for the past 15 years. She died while I was over in Florida, she was doing ok and i had a text from her the day before she went downhill saying she felt better. The next day i get the cal from my friend saying she had deteriorated and they didn't think she would last the weekend. Got my flight changed but not in time to see her, although when i saw her at the funeral home she finally looked peaceful. My best friend was there with her when she died with my dad. Her funeral is Tuesday.

I can't imagine what you are going through right now. I hope to never have to deal with such a loss. I'm so sorry this has happened to you. I'm also sorry you couldn't get back in time. That has to be a very hard thing to deal with.
I hope you can find peace in your memories of her.
