Thumbs up My new hairpiece (bangs) - Love it!

Toni Brattin™ Toni's Tapered Classic Bangs at HSN.com

This piece has been a life-saver for me recently! I actually reviewed it on the site, as "Angela, PA" - I also have the "front filler classic" from the same maker maker on that site.

Just wanted to share in case anyone is in my position and needing a quick fix in feeling more confident in public. This piece might help you, too.

My hair has been thinning for some time but now getting to a rediculous point. Sad. But this has really helped.

Angela, How easy is it to put in?? Do you just put it in every morning.?? Can you see the clips? The price is good.. may have to try it. I have thinning bangs where u can see my scalp but the rest of my hair is thick. Would this work for that?

By His Mercy - thank you! I will remember you in my prayers, too! Remain faithful + God Bless you!

Ansleigh - It's very easy to put it in, you just clip it in. I don't wear it every day, but you sure could! You can't see the clips when you're wearing it. I see the website now had a video for it, I haven't watched it yet but I'm sure it shows a little more and gives you more info. For me: I wash my hair, style & dry the back, clip the piece in and put on a headband. If my hair was longer, I wouldn't need the headband to cover where it starts. But it works great for me, regardless of my short hair - I like to wear a pretty headband anyway. When you first get it, try it in front of the mirror and fuss with it for a few minutes and hopefully it'll work for you. NO ONE has suspected it's "fake."

I am just thinning on top as well, pretty full in the back - works perfectly for that. Good thing it, they have a nice return policy if it doesn't work out for you. I paid $24 but see it was just on special for $19. I was going to get a 2nd one, but my color wasn't available (medium brown.) So I will keep checking and see when it may be available again.

Best Wishes!!

Angela, thank you for the link. I can only buy one of the pieces, so I am trying to figure out which would be better for me. The dimensions they give are for the hair lengths. Could you measure the "netting" parts and post them? I want to get the most coverage for my money and am afraid the piece will not go back far enough.

Thank you!!

Hello Cincyster,

I just measured the netting. For the tapered bangs, the netting is almost a triangle shape - the area that gets clipped in at your front hairline is 4.5", it goes straight back just over 2", and the two sides go back just under 3".

For the front filler (remember, these would need to be trimmed to be used as bangs), the netting is shaped like a half-circle. The netting across where your front hairline would be is almost 6", and it goes back 3".

Good Luck! Anyone feel free to ask any more questions if you have them. Hope these work out for you as well as they do for me. They are nice pieces, in my opinion.

Thank you so much! I believe I will order the front filler. Actually, I called my Mom and she is buying it for my birthday present. Woohoo free hair!

Woo-Hoo, good gift! Just hang on to the box and packing slip. If it doesn't work for you, send it back for a refund or exchange. Of course I doubt they'll accept it if you cut it first. But like another reviewer on hsn said, you can't just plop a piece on your head and expect it to look perfect. So take your time and try it this way and that way, have fun with it and make it work for you. Hope it does!

What color are you getting? Oh, and my mom cut that one for my while I wore it. Maybe someone with a good eye and steady hand can for you, too - otherwise, take it to a real stylist.

I am going to order the medium brown. I may not need to cut it, I wear my hair long so it may just blend in. If not, I will see a stylist. My Mom is ordering this tomarrow (Tuesday) morning. I hope it ships quickly! When I get it I will be sure to post.

Thank you so much for sharing the information about this product. I never would have thought that you can buy small "pieces" instead of a whole wig--I know I just live under a rock. I was actually thinking of cutting my hair short and getting a full wig. I hated the thought, my DH loves my long hair and I like it too. It helps me feel more feminine, even whenI have a 5 o'clock shadow! So, thank you for showing me something new. And really, for giving me hope.

Cincyster,

Medium brown - that's what I have. I think it's really beautiful, and for me it's closest to my natural color. Oh, that's right - it may work for you differently and better without cutting it since you're hair is longer. Awesome! Let me know how it turns out or if you have any questions. They shipped quickly for me - I chose the shipping option which was a step faster than normal. But even w/ regular shipping, it should be pretty fast I'd think.

You're welcome for the idea - it brings me hope, too... because this is such a shame, the situation we are in with hair-loss. I am 26, and I see women in their 80s with hair like mine. I'd be okay with it if I was much older, but I'm not! I am fortunate to have also found a salon nearby that specialized in hair loss. They have wigs and other pieces. I just ordered a 3/4 wig, in which the back of my *real* hair will be intergrated. It's an inverted bob style and I get it on July 8th - i'm super excited.

Anyway, take care! and Good Luck!
~ Angela

My HAIR came in the mail today. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!!!

My famiy is a little "weird" and we have no secrets from each other, so...

My Mother and I and my 2 sisters and our kids got together and had a cookout so we could all "play" with my new hair. We tried all kinds of different ways to style it. It was such a good time and was very helpful to see the different ways to wear it. I have been wearing my hair the same way for the last 15 years trying to hide the balding spots. It is amazing. I really am so thankful to you, AngelaGrace. I can not wait to wake up in the morning and put my hair back on and experiment some more.

Thank you again!!!!!!

Cincyster,

How wonderful! And you're most welcome - you really made my day!!! I'm so happy for you - I've been crossing my fingers that the piece would work for you! Isn't medium brown beautiful, too!? It really makes a difference for me, like when i'm driving in the car and catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror - I feel more confident!

And your family doesn't sound weird to me - sounds just like mine!! I told my closest friends and family about the pieces I'm using and it felt really good to have the support - so I wasn't left wondering "how do i really look?" But for the rest of the world, they won't know my secret. ha! (well, Soul Cysters will.. hehehe)

I get my new 3/4 wig at the salon this evening - so excited! It's an inverted bob style... and having dinner w/ my parents after so they'll get to see the new 'do! Good stuff! Even when I had longer and thicker hair, it wasn't as beautiful as these pieces. It's always been more kinky and if straightened, would frizz up as soon as it got humid or hot!

Best wishes to you always. I'll see about getting some pics up then...
Angela
