Y'all are going to think I'm insane, but, well, that's ok. lol I rolled over in bed last night and got the strangest "pain/twinge" in my pelvic area. It was on the left side and pretty much right across from my hip bone. It twinged for about 10 seconds and quit. Well, I was getting out of the chair today and it did the same thing. I stood still and pressed on it, and my mom asked me what was wrong. I told her I was having a weird pain thing. She saw where it was and said it could be my ovary.
As you can see from my ticker, I'm not exactly thin. Could my fat be pushing on my ovary? lol It only twinges when I move suddenly. I feel like such a doofus for asking, but the pain/twinge is in the exact same place each time. This has happened before, but it was on the right side.
Whatcha think? Well, other than the fact that I'm going crazy? lol Maybe, just maybe I'm getting ready to ovulate???

Hmm... sounds like it would be in the right place for O pain. BUT, I get pains like that too sometimes, and I'm pretty sure it isn't O (unfortunately!). Good luck!

I have similar pain when I move suddenly, also when I cough of sneeze. I'm going to get an ultrasound soon and imagine there to be a giant cyst there! lol

Thank you, Eva. At least I know I'm in the general area of my ovaries. LOL
februarystar, I hope that won't be the case! Good luck!!
Oddly enough, it's not really a pain exactly and has only happened twice this month. The twinge only lasts for 5-10 seconds and goes away. Thinking back, its only happened just a few other times, and only during the months I've taken soy. I had an ultrasound done a year ago, and had no cysts, so hopefully that hasn't changed. *crosses fingers*

Well, I usually have "twinges" for a few days leading up to O, and the day I have the sharper stabbing pains is the day that my temps show I've ovulated. And it's odd, I usually ovulate in the evening, so I'll feel the stabbing pains for an hour or so off and on, then the next morning everything will feel alright again and my temps will show ovulation. But, I could be an oddity and it might not be the same for everyone! LOL

How cool that your body tells you when you O! I've been testing with OPK and, so far, nothing. Of course, I may be one of those people that OPKs don't work for, but then again, I may just not have ovulated. I'm still waiting.

I have pains like this also from time to time although I dont think mine are O pains as I hardly ever O unless I am medicated and I have these pains even when I am unmedicated but I usually just attributed it to a small cyst popping. Hope you feel better soon!!
Well I was on here asking the same ? about two months ago. Found out i was just Oing after I called my Dr. in a panic thinking something was really wrong with me. Mine hurt really bad though the first time. I started to notice it when I would cough, roll over in bed, stand up or just move the "wrong" way. However after the first time I ovulated its just a slight "pulling-fluttering" feeling I get in my ovary area. There is really no way to describe it and no I really don't think its your "fat" pushing on your ovarys. If that was the case I would have had pain years ago lol. Good luck and I hope you feel better soon!
Well, yanno, doctors DO blame nearly everrrrrrrrything on being fat. I just figured that might be the problem this time, too.
Crissy, what you're describing is exactly what I feel. It hasn't happened again since Friday night and wasn't debilitating then. Just...well...weird I guess. I'm not familiar with ovulating at all, so I'm still learning what it feels like.
Thank you for responding! I'm really, really hoping this is O. I'm not sold on it yet, but my temps have taken quite the jump. Then again, that could be because I slept for much longer these last few nights before taking my temp. I just don't know. I'll just have to wait and see. lol
Have a great day, y'all!
