Congratulations Rae! Please be proud of yourself for accomplishing what medicine could not do for you: You're pregnant and you achieved this by learning how to take the best care of yourself, double yay! May I ask what kind of exercise you started doing? All the best to you, DH and baby - I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy!
Exercise was hard for me. I started off small by just walking around the block. I was so out of shape that I would be exhausted by the time I got back. I kept making myself go, and eventually I got up to walking about 3 miles. Basically when I really got into exercise I began walking 3 miles 3 times a week or so.
When the weather changed and it got cooler I started looking for things to do in the house. I joined fitcysters.com, and found out that a lot of women were doing Turbojam. I had never heard of it, but I decided to try it and ordered it off of ebay. It was hard, but I ended up loving it!
I was doing Turbojam cardio 20 or 40 minute segments, Turbojam total body sculpt 40 minute segment, or Turbojam 20 min ab sculpt.
Right before I got pregnant my workouts looked like this:
MWF- Turbojam 20 min segment
Tues and Thurs- Turbojam total body sculpt 40 min.
Sat- 3 mile walk or Turbojam 40 min cardio.
My goal was to do about 180-200 minutes and eventually get up to 300. A few weeks I actually did 300, but it was definitely not on a consistent basis yet. It wasn't as much as some people were doing, but I believe every little bit counts, and I did what I could. I was finally trying!
Sorry, I can get long winded sometimes.

I had my little girl! She came 6 1/2 weeks early for no known reason and spent a week in NICU, but everything went ok. She is a healthy 9 week old!
