 my poems..
Hello ladies! I haven't been able to be on her for ages because i visited my parents for three weeks over christmas... but anyways thought i would post a couple of poems so enjoy them, hate them, rip them to shreds or whatever
Sleep
I cannot sleep, or choose to stay awake
to watch the stillness, hear the snores
that line this home, content to rest relax -
and dream in peace as children do - in worlds
away from racing thoughts, and chants, and verse
of words unsaid, or worse, the ghawing shame -
of heart to hearts with words that made me wince
spontaneously spoken and relived
(sleep - was written in the middle of the night when i couldn't sleep and was thinking about a drunken phone call i had to an old freind)
Hit em'up
The moments passed,
Its gone, Its dead,
and cold - the lone
decaying flesh
whose words were death,
by guns and knives,
and gangs and crime,
and sex and lies
the rhyme that lines
the throat of youth
whose death itself
is dumb and mute
(hit 'em up - this was scribbled down on a bit of paper whist i was listening to a tu pac song on my brothers computer about murder and such)
