...... a Unreal Tournament widow that is! lol

I'm 34, never really had a passion for PC gaming.... until a few weeks ago.

My brother in law let me borrow his Unreal Tournament (few years old) and I'm hooked. I have a Playstation 2 and USED to think it was pretty darn cool.

So silly me, I thought if I loved the older version of Unreal Tournament, I just had to run out and get Unreal Tournament 2003!

So we got it. I have to say its worth every penny except for the fact that my pretty impressive computer falls to it's knees and begs me to play something else!

This game has so much going on, and HIGHLY detailed graffic effects that a P4 1.8gz w/256mb Rambus ram runs the game like a slideshow after a few moments of play.

Now, in order to play my new 50 dollar game with a smile.... I have to shell out a few hundred bucks for a video card. Nice huh?

So until one appears outta thin air, I'm back to fragg'n with the old game.

What the heck is my point????

Just explaining why I've been MIA for awhile.

Ummmm.... no actually, just sending out a warning that if you think about getting the game, you'll need a heck of alot more than the minimun requirments listed on the stupid box!

my DH and I love to play UT 2003...we both have a geoforce 4 ti4200 and the game runs perfectly..so smooth and fast it makes me wanna barf after a while...

we fight each other and laugh and laugh...i still like the old one too though...I love the Morpheous level...low gravity is so cool and I am mean with that flak cannon..lol

maybe we can all hook up and play online together sometime

Urg, I HATE when you have this totally awesome game, but can't play it cos you need an upgrade...but even worse it this - my PC isn't TOO out of date, but a friend of mine gave me a 2.53 gig Intel processor...that's just sitting on my computer desk, waiting to be installed. I need to shell out $200 for board and memory for that bad girl.

So, uhm...anyone need a website?

And until then, I'll take your word on UT. But only for a while, I hope!

Widow here - Playstation 2 Widow that is (isn't that right TxHubby?).

Jeff has 2 lovers...Me and Madden.

But after 5 years, I have learned to accept that the games are Jeff's way of relaxing and winding down after being at work all day and daddy at home.

So what can you do? You just gotta love him!

Now me, I havent gotten much into gaming, especially since my PC couldnt support much more than Solitaire..haha....but he's getting ready to build himself a new rig...and when he does, I get his that he has now..watch out world!! hehe

Oh and, LuckyHubbie...be sure to look around..you can d/l new maps and stuff for UT2k3..

Lisa would have my head if I were up playing games in the middle of the night. When it's bedtime, there's no computers. The computer room is now a nursery, and the computers got moved into our bedroom.

I know what you mean, Lisa and I love to thrash on each other, we mostly play on opposite teams just so we can do that. Nothing funner than fighting a real person rather than a computer player. You gets to hear em get ticked and stuff

I would LOVE to hook up with you guys and have a rumble! I'm sure Lisa would even get in on it. We could have a "couples fight date" lol.

Lisa, my brother in law, and myself love having a lan party and fight. 3 sets of computers with the sounds cranked up is pretty intense. Lisa and I sit side by side and he is off in the other room. Kinda hard to hear him cussing at me over all the game noise.

Sometimes we all chose the fighting cow and go online like some sort of gang and whoop butt on the 12 year olds online. Well actually they beat on us, but it's fun as heck because we stick together.

My name is "Got-Milk?" Lisa's is "E-Cow-li", and his is "PETA'S_Revenge". It's a riot seeing those silly war cows running around in low gravity. So if you see these 3 idiot cows... they be us!

I want to get the GeForce4 Ti 4200 (or better

) Kingstraw, just not in the budget yet. Maybe the prices will fall soon now that they have the GeForce4 Ti 4800. I think they even have a new one coming out soon?

JaimeJenn, I'm not even gonna bother downloading more maps until my upgrade. I'll just play the older game for now. I have lots of extra maps to keep me happy with that one for a while.

I'm glad to see there are more widows out there. Well I feel sorry for ya, just glad I'm not the only neglectful geek out there!

yup, done that, he's been a good boy recently, all tucked up in bed next to me

. He's learnt the hard way, you don't want to mess with us PCOS ladies, we can be SCARY when we flip

He still has the occasional slip, especially when he has been working nights and his routine is upside down .. but I come downstairs and give him "the look". Works everytime.
