Hi everyone! My name is Liz and I am 26 years old. Happily married and of course no children...I have PCOS. I was actually diagnosed when I was 21 by a wonderful doctor when I was living in a city over three hours from my rural home. (Where I live now.) After I was diagnosed I was happy, so there was a reason for all the stuff I was going through! I wasn't some weirdo with too much hair on my chin, large middle, stick legs, dark skin folds and our worst friend...skin tags! Oh yeah irregular periods...how could I forget those!? I went into a shock like state after finding out I was diagnosed. I had just had a miscarriage and was in no mood to deal with my body being a freak show. Now five years later I am like-" GET AHOLD OF YOURSELF...do something." Without hormones I bleed every single day...I should own half the tampax company. So now I am currently taking Birth Control Pills and was told to take glucophage. (Which I am stubborn about since it makes me sick...yes I know...that is only in the beginning!)
I just wanted to say hello and tell a bit of my story. I love this site, I have been reading through posts and HAD to register here. WOW so great to see people deal with some of the stuff I deal with.
Anyway just a little hello from me...hope to get too know all of you!

About your Metformin: I used to have LOTS of problems with diarrhea when I first starting taking it. The doc changed me to the exteneded release formula and I noticed a big improvement. I know I'm more compliant in taking it now!! Ask your doc, if he has you on the regular Metformin to change you (if you aren't already on it!!)
