I'm glad you've found this helpful wed2luis. If I can help even one person a little on this forum, it'll be all worthwhile.

[quote=xXHayleyXx;1889187263]I've just joined this forum and I guess you could call me a newbie - I was diagnosed with PCOS late February this year. However, I have suspected that I have had it brewing since puberty but back then, I didn't have a clue what PCOS was"

I am new on here as well as new to PCOS. I agree with you...looking back on my life the symptons have been there since puberty but finally getting to the point of feeling something is really wrong with me and having a great doctor I was finally diagnosed with PCOS. I am interested to see how a low glycemic diet will help with the symptoms of PCOS.

Yes I spose it is a bit of a relief when you finally find out the reason for why you feel the way you do, or why you have the symptoms that you do.

For me, the relief was followed by despair at first, as I felt trapped knowing there wasnt a 'cure' per say.

I believe that knowledge is power and you can never have to much knowledge so by all means get this book:

The New Glucose Revolution - Guide to Living Well with PCOS
By Jennie Brand Miller.
