 My Story
Hi all,
PCOS started for me in 2004, except at the time I did not know what was wrong with me. I had my second child Kaela in 2002, and my hair was still thinning and falling out. My doctor said my body was still getting over the pregnancy. I was obese feeling terrible. I was diagnosed with sleep apnea and a deviated septum. I had surgery to correct it. My diet was terrible so I
started making small changes like switching to low fat everything and I
used to be a cola fanatic, but switched to diet and lost 20lbs. My husband
and I decided we wanted another child and we decided to just try on our
own 8 months went by and nothing. It was time for my yearly pap and I
mentioned to my doctor my problem and started me on clomid, 4 months
went by and nothing, then she noticed she did not do labs on me and found
out I had pcos, she stopped the clomid and put me on metformin and slowly increased the dose. I followed the LL Cool J work out (the women section) and worked out 6 days a week and in 3 months I lost 30lbs and maintained the weight loss for 3 more months till I found out I was pregnant. I ate healthier and my daughter Daeja was born 2/6/08. I have since gained all my weight back and feel horrible! I am going to a endocrinologist to put me back on metformin, and a birth control pill, and to check my thyroid. I no longer want children I have 3 now, so I got my tubes tied. I am always exhausted, and stressed out and I need to focus on myself so I can take care of my family better. I really need to get my energy back up to loose the weight again. I go to school full-time so I need to get myself on a schedule and stick to it. The PCOS is worse now and it is taking a toll..... |
