Points: 1,874.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 1,874.00 | My TSH level is,would you say I need treatment? Hi, I've been having symptoms of hypothyrodism for a long time now. I've had my TSH levels checked several times in the past year.Back in OCt. of 03 it was 2.92.
Well I had it checked again in April and it was 4. 22.
I'm gaining weight like crazy ,tired all the time ,having trouble sleeping ,sore dry throat, mood swings, magor forgettfullness,no sex drive.
The hospital that did the blood work has a scale up to 5.0 and after that they consider it high.
I noticed a website that listed the normal target range to be 3.0 and anything above that was considered high and treatment was suggested.
HOw do I go about getting my doctor to start me on medication to get my TSH lower? I would like to see it down around 1.0.I bet I would feel better if they would get my numbers down.
I really think somethings going on with my thryoid for it to go from 2.92 to 4.22 since oct. 03.
Thanks any suggestion or thoughts would be appreciated!
