Also, we will be turning in our first completed set of papers to set the Russian adoption in process by the end of this week! We have the financial statement completed, the agency application completed, have found our 5 references, have an appointment for fingerprinting this coming thursday.... things are starting to roll! It is sooo exciting... I hope we will be having our homestudy before the end of the summer.
Oh, has anyone else seen the series on DiscoveryHealth called "Adoption Stories". It comes on every afternoon here and it is a 30 minute segment that follows a different couple through their adoption journey... some are international and some are domestic. I just love this show... I get all weepy whenever the parents meet their new son or daughter for the first time.

I love the Adoption Stories show - its so heartwarming to see families and kids unite. Especially was touched by the families who are adopting disabled/older children - they have such big hearts
Good luck with your adoption plans! Hope your dreams come true soon!

Congrats! You are moving along! You will be traveling before you know it!!!
Are you requesting a girl or a boy? What age?
Yes, I love adoption stories too. I think I have seen them all! I can relate to weeping mothers the first time they see their child. I didn't think it was possible for me to cry out of sheer happiness, but I did!!! I sobbed when the orphanage workers brought my son in to let me see him for the first time.
It is the best feeling in the world, and I am so excited for you!
