This poem was written for me by my sister on my wedding day. She read it aloud for everyone to hear...and for me to cry every last tear~
Yesteryears, Today
Yesteryears I did not know
to cherish the moments of watching you grow
Today I memorize each day that's passed
and cherish the moments like their the last
Yesteryears I could not see
a friendship for you and me
Today we share hopes and dreams
I hope you know how much to me this means
Yesteryears I was blind
that one day a woman in you I'd find
Today I stand by your side
I see that woman as you become the bride
Yesteryear I could not be
the sister you needed in me
Today I am not your sister but a friend
I hope this bond will only grow with no end
"For my little sister on her Wedding Day, I hope these words in your heart will forever stay"
