Default My whole grain tricks

If anyone can have the whole grain breads and stuff i wanted to post my recent findings that are making my diet life more interesting. I do sugar busters by the way.
1. Fast food burgers: take your favorite whole grain bun and toast it. Put some mayo on it or light butter and take it with you to burger king. order a whopper and replace their bun with yours. I think toasting it first really helps. A plain whole grain bun can be heavy and dry.
2. WW pita for pizza crust. Bake the pita in the oven first before you top it with anything. It makes the pita really crisp . I had mine in there for no more than 5 minutes probably at 300 or so. Then I rubbed in a little olive oil, pizza sauce, cheese, mushrooms, green pepper and ham. It was really good and i attributed that to the pre-baking of the pita.

FYI..just wanted to explain that in order for the pita to become crisp you have to bake in the oven on the racks. Dont use a baking sheet or they wont get crisp.
