Let me preface this with the fact that Ive not had a period since 4/1/09- I'm currently taking Glucophage 500mg 4x daily.

I woke up Monday morning and went to the bathroom and had some bleeding- I thought "yay! a period!" it was pinkish and seemed to be viscuous- but we had sex the night before so it didn't seem abnormal. I went to work and went to the bathroom a few hours later and there was no more bleeding. Weird? Throughout the day my boobs got increasingly tender and the cramping was like none that I've experienced before- it was really almost like a period cramp and a GI discomfort/gas type pain all rolled into one. It's persisted through today (Wednesday). I've been ridiculously emotional- as in commercials have me welling up and I am SO not that sensitive on a day to day basis.

I took an EPT last night and this morning and they were both negative- which I completely expected because I feel like I'll never get pregnant.

I suppose on the freak chance that I ovulated, and fertilized this egg it could be implantation bleeding but I just don't think that it could be. I probably shouldn't be this skeptical, but I don't want to get my hopes up on something that's just not going to be there.

Any ideas about what it might have been? I have an appt. with the RE to start fertility meds 12/16.

It could always be implantation bleeding, weirder things have happened. I would ask dr to proscribe you some progesterone tabs for a few days to see if it will bring on a period. Sometimes mine will come on slow, on and off for a day or 2 and then bam AF has deff. arrived... Good Luck

Could be any number of things. Implantation, early spotting, or bumping around a soft cervix during sex.
